Indiana: Paul liked that Craig wanted him to come back, so he brokered the deal

Live Bar Feb. 13 In a previous deal, the Suns sent Jaylen Smith and a second-round pick to the Pacers to get Craig.

Indiana reporter Mark Montieth tweeted today to reveal the reasons why the two sides made the deal. He wrote: "Why would the Sun be willing to trade Smith for Craig. Smith's agent wants his clients to go to a team with more playing opportunities. Paul likes Craig and wants him to return to Phoenix. If Smith gets a chance with the Pacers, Indiana could make a big buck on the deal. ”

In the 2020-21 season, Craig played in 32 regular season games for the Suns, averaging 7.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1 assist per game.
