Happy Spring Festival
On January 26, Lai Bo attended the launching ceremony of the "Spring Festival Bag" distribution by video and delivered a speech. Representatives of volunteers from the Zanqiao Society, private enterprises, consular assistance and consular staff of the embassy attended.
On the eve of the Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger in the Lunar Calendar, on behalf of all the staff of the Embassy, Lai Bo first paid tribute to the Chinese compatriots who insisted on staying in Zambia and extended good wishes in advance. Lai said that since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the party and the government have always been concerned about the safety and health of the vast number of overseas Chinese citizens. The Embassy today organized the distribution of "Spring Festival Bags" to convey the care and warmth from the motherland and help compatriots in Zambia fight against the epidemic.
Lai pointed out that the current century-old changes and the century epidemic superimposed resonance, opportunities and risks coexist, the great motherland has always been a strong backing for all overseas citizens. At the same time, enterprises and compatriots in Zambia should earnestly do a good job of maintaining their own safety as the "first responsible person", adhere to the bottom line thinking, carry forward the fine tradition of unity and mutual assistance of the Chinese nation, and jointly protect safety and health.
Representatives of overseas Chinese cooperatives, enterprises and consular association volunteers thanked the embassy for their concern and condolences, saying that from organizing the "Spring Seedling Action" to distributing "health packs" and "Spring Festival packs", all of them were full of concern and care for overseas compatriots by the party and the government, which enhanced everyone's confidence and courage in defeating the new crown pneumonia epidemic.
