Jiang Zengpei: Reading poetry and remembering the sense

Recently, my eyesight has suddenly declined, and I can't see the number five characters on books and magazines when I put on reading glasses. After going to the hospital for examination, it was said that it was a disaster caused by cataracts, and Dr. Wang Wei took care of him and was hospitalized for surgery quickly. The operation is now quite mature, and it took less than 20 minutes on the operating table, however, the preoperative examination and postoperative observation, incidental and other diseases, also stayed in the hospital for 9 days. When discharged from the hospital, the doctor advises not to use excessive eyes, and not to read books continuously for a long time or use computers and mobile phones for a long time in recent times.

Jiang Zengpei: Reading poetry and remembering the sense

After retirement, reading is a staple of my life. How can you be close to a book without overly using your eyes? I think of reading ancient poems, whether it is five words and seven words, or the absolute sentences of the law poem, the number of words in each poem is relatively small, and it does not need to be seen with the eyes for a long time, but its connotation is rich enough for the reader to think about it repeatedly and memorize it.

That is to say, in addition to reading poetry with the eyes, more time can be entrusted to the brain and mouth, and to deeply appreciate its mysteries in a way that combines reading, thinking and reciting. So, I pulled out "Three Hundred Poems of Tang", "Thousand Family Poems" and "Three Hundred Poems of Song" from the bookshelf.

Reading Wei Yingwu's "SendIng Li Dan Yuanxi", the verse "Yi has exile and is ashamed of his money" caused me to close my eyes and think deeply. I think that Wei Yingwu, who did the history of the history, deeply blamed himself for the exiled victims in the area under his jurisdiction, which embodied a kind of "worry in yuanyuan" heart.

This is not an isolated case among the tang and Song dynasty poets and officials. Bai Juyi, a poet who also did the history of lai, also had a similar "self-ashamed poem": "There is a fat wife, no grace and the people." He was deeply ashamed and asked himself who he was? Mei Yaochen, who was "haggard all his life and was busy with poetry", when he was serving in Xiangyang County, once wrote a poem "After the Great Flood, the Bad Lushe in the City Wrote a Poem to Blame Himself": "How dare you ask about natural disasters, but you are ashamed of the evil of the government", blanting himself for not thinking of sending people to repair the waterways in advance. Concerned about the people and strict with themselves, even if they have done nothing wrong in their official positions, in the face of the hardships and hardships of public life, Wei Yingwu often feels that they are responsible for the country and the people, and they are ashamed. This is also reflected in the poems of Han Yu, Liu Xiyu, Liu Zongyuan, Ouyang Xiu, Huang Tingjian, Su Shi, Lu You, etc., so their poetry is famous and their political voices are also long. Among the poets and officials of the Tang and Song dynasties, accompanied by excellent poetic traditions, there is also a cultural tradition of honest government and diligent administration.

This cultural tradition of honest and diligent administration is, first of all, incorruptible. Huang Tingjian, the leader of the Jiangxi Poetry Sect, who shouted "I am also sick of the people, and has groaned five times", deliberately handwritten the "Jie Shi Ming": "Erqi Erlu, the people anoint the people's fat, the people are easy to abuse, and the heavens are difficult to deceive." "He was poor all his life, and his integrity remained unchanged," although I was poor to the bone, I was better than Du Linglao. Such poets and officials do not use their power for personal gain, and like Zhuge Liang, after death, "there is no surplus inside, and there is no wealth outside."

At the same time, officials must not only be honest and not corrupt and pervert the law, but also be diligent in their administration and bring benefits to the people. Neither act arbitrarily nor do nothing. What is implied in the phrase "Yi has exile and is ashamed of his money" is precisely the high style and bright festival of many poets and officials in the Tang and Song dynasties: they are concerned about the people, honest and honest; they are upright and clean; they are upright and have a clean wind in their sleeves; "serving as an official for one term, benefiting one party", leaving a lot of "Su Causeway" and "White Causeway" in the land of governance, benefiting future generations.

I originally thought that "Yi you have exiled and ashamed money" was written by Wei Yingwu during his tenure in Suzhou, but this time I re-read it and knew that it was his work in Chuzhou. Chuzhou is my hometown, so I feel very close. He wrote the poem "Sending All peppers to the Daoist priests in the mountains", "In this dynasty, the county is cold, and the mountain guests are ignored." The bottom of the stream bundled thorn salary, return to boil white stone. If you want to hold a scoop of wine, you will be far away from the wind and rain. The leaves are full of empty mountains, where to find traces. "The "Taoist priest in the mountain" lives in a stone cave on the sacred mountain, which is now called the Immortal Cave, about 20 kilometers from my hometown, and I visited it the year before. Wei Yingwu was concerned about this Daoist monk, not only because this Daoist priest boiled stones with a bundle of salaries and lived a hard life, but also because the latter actively boiled stones as medicine to save the people whenever a plague occurred in society. It once again shows that Wei Yingwu cares about people's livelihood and suffering.

After suffering from eye disease, reading poetry, using the eyes less, using the brain more, thinking time more than reading time, although the speed is slower, the understanding is deeper, prompting me to remember and write from time to time. Du Fu's "Absolute Sentence": "Two yellow orioles singing green willows, a line of egrets on the blue sky." The window contains the West Ridge Thousand Autumn Snow, and the door is docked east Wu Wanli Ship. It is a depiction of the surrounding environment of the Chengdu Caotang where he lives, the context is bright, and the artistic conception is open and beautiful. I have read it in the past, but this time I read slowly, close my eyes and think, if I were to describe my living environment, how would I write it? I live on a road near the Xuhui Riverside, more than 20 years ago standing on the floor above 15 floors, from the Nanpu Bridge to the Xupu Bridge of the Huangpu River in full view, and then the nearby high-rise buildings continue to increase, obscuring a large number of river surfaces, but there are still several incoherent sections of the river surface can be seen, you can also see the previous years did not have the river gulls on the water surface, although there are many buildings in the residential area, traffic flow, but in recent years the greenery has increased, autumn smell of cinnamon, summer cherry blossoms, from time to time you can hear birdsong. Based on this, I wrote: "The window contains the East and West Boats of the Pujiang River, and the door is facing the elevated north-south car." Gulls and birds flutter on the water, green dots between buildings. "This is naturally the east to apply to the effect, but this kind of thinking has promoted the deepening of my learning."

Reading poetry with my eyes forced me to use my brain more than my eyes, which is why God will open a window for you by closing a door for you.
