A poem that has been burned throughout ancient and modern times, describing spring in four sentences, has achieved a unique beauty

Among the four seasons, spring is the most poetic season, perhaps because it represents a new beginning, a new hope, and the colorful picture is re-unfolded.

The spring in the ancient poems is even more "varied", which makes me enjoy the inexhaustible sense of beauty and understand the state of mind of different poets behind different poems.

Wang Anshi painted the spring with the color of homesickness with "Spring breeze and the south bank of the Green River, when will the bright moon shine on me"; Han Yu painted the most beautiful spring appearance in the capital with "the most beneficial spring of the year, the absolute victory over the smoke and willows full of imperial capital"; Ye Shaoweng explained the playfulness and agility of spring to the reader with "the spring color of the garden cannot be closed, and a red apricot comes out of the wall"...

And this poem about spring is also a classic masterpiece that everyone is very familiar with, describing spring in four sentences, achieving a unique beauty.

Chuzhou Xijian

Wei Yingwu

The lonely grass is born on the side of the stream, and there are yellow orioles on the deep tree song.

The spring tide brings rain to the evening, and the wild ferry has no one to cross itself.

This poem "Chuzhou Xijian" is one of Wei Yingwu's most influential masterpieces, and it is also a famous landscape chapter on the mainland. When the author was in chuzhou, he visited the xijian in Chuzhou and wrote this small poem with strong poetry. This poem mainly describes what the author saw in the spring tour of Xijian (the western suburbs of Chuzhou City), although the poem is written as an ordinary scene, but through the poet's dot dyeing, it has become a painting with a deep artistic conception, and also contains a helpless and sad feeling that the poet is not in his place and cannot be used, that is, the author's unfairness to his own talents.

At the beginning of the poem, the "beauty" of spring is initially presented on the paper: the single pity of the grass is born on the side; the most touching thing about spring is the new green, so the "grass" in this sentence grasps this point very well, and the color of the bush reflects the breath of spring. Coupled with the combination with "stream", the whole picture has an attractive effect from the three-dimensional sense of color and space.

At the same time, the author's interest and feelings are also highlighted from the side, which shows his love for spring, his appreciation of the natural world, and his pursuit of a quiet life.

The second sentence is another scene: there are yellow orioles singing in the deep trees; in this fresh and beautiful scenery, there are also the crisp cries of the yellow orioles coming from the deep trees. The appearance of the object "Yellow Oriole" immediately brought infinite vitality to the picture, which embodied the beauty machine of spring from the perspective of sound and stimulated the reader's imagination.

The use of the word "deep tree" allows us to visually see the exuberance of life in spring and the smudge and spread of greenery.

Even if it is in the cold winter, or in the autumn of the depression, I believe that as long as you read these two sentences, everyone's eyes and hearts will emerge with the appearance of spring, and feel the vitality of spring.

However, this sunny and idyllic scene did not last, and in the last two sentences, the author created another picture: the spring tide brought rain to the evening rush, and the wild ferry was not crossed by a boat; in the evening, the spring rain poured sharply, so that the spring water rose, and in the wild ferry, there was no boatman, no boatman, only empty boats moored there.

From the beginning of the bright and sunny, to the rainy rush here, the two pictures switch freely, but do not appear chaotic and disorderly. One of the important reasons is that the author grasps the use of time and easily connects the context, so that the two completely different pictures before and after can naturally be integrated.

Then for the picture of the last two sentences, we see a cool, imposing and emotional spring. Spring rains, spring tides and evening boats make the whole world seem empty and silent, but this silence is also sound, a wonderful sound unique to nature. And "sound" and "silence" achieve each other, and bring out the author's inner emotions.

What emotion? It's a lonely emotion. Because in the social pattern at that time, under the circumstances at that time, the author's worries about his home country and his confusion about the future made his mood never get rid of sadness and heaviness. Therefore, this is the meaning of reading from the last two sentences.

Of course, we can also put aside emotions to appreciate this poem, and feel the artistic charm from the perspective of pure scenery.

This poem uses four simple sentences to cut out two wonderful moments of spring and combine them perfectly, forming a good poem that blends into the scene.
