On May 30, 2020, Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, held a press conference on the archaeological achievements of the Jingtou Mountain site. At this press conference, experts directly asserted that the Jingtou Mountain site is earlier than the Hemudu culture, and the phrase "the source of the world comes from China" is not false at all. So, what research results have occurred in the archaeology of the Jingtou Mountain site?

The Jingtou Mountain Ruins are located in the village of Sanqi City, Yuyao, two kilometers east of the Tianluo Mountain Ruins. In August 2013, when a factory in Sanqi City was conducting a geotechnical survey, the debris buried deep in the ground was brought out through drilling. At that time, the workers accidentally found that there were many marine shells, animal bones, and historical relics such as bone artifacts from pottery pieces under the foundation. Soon, the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, together with the staff of the Hemudu Museum, came to the field to investigate. After several years of archaeological excavations, this area is known by experts as the Jingtou Mountain site. Archaeologists first drilled a 3.5-meter-deep artificial well on this foundation for tentative excavation.
But who knows, this 3.5-meter-deep artificial well is not enough. Subsequently, after urgent consultation with on-site archaeologists, the 3.5-meter-deep artificial well was deepened to more than 7 meters. From this, it can be preliminarily concluded that the site is a prehistoric shell hill site that has not been discovered in the entire Chinese archaeological work so far. In the first half of 2015, the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology cleaned up the site's cultural accumulation to a special depth, as well as silt cover. Through calculations and archaeological exploration, it was confirmed that there were traces of shell pieces of ancient life in the Jingtou Mountain site. At the same time, the terrain of the entire Jingtou Mountain site is very strange. The site is buried underground, with a depth of 5 meters to 10 meters, the main body is located under the eastern slope of the small hillside, the overall shape is roughly oval in a north-south direction, and the total area is about 10,000 square meters.
Therefore, the JingtouShan site is the largest buried site in the coastal area of the mainland. Since this site is not far from the Hemudu site, experts believe that the Jingtou Mountain site and Hemudu are not much different from the connotation characteristics of the cultural face, and even the cultural sources of the two are closely related. At the press conference in May 2020, the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics also announced a lot of heavy news. After the author's summary, the significance of the excavation of the Jingtou Mountain site is diverse. This site is the largest buried site in the coastal area of the mainland, and breaks through the understanding of previous archaeologists on the temporal framework and distribution of prehistoric sites in the coastal area.
Secondly, the discovery of the Jingtou Mountain site provides sufficient understanding and detailed information for future generations to study the environmental changes of the ancients, the time process of transgression, and the origin and development of Neolithic human culture in the coastal areas of China. Archaeologists can clearly conclude from the excavated artifacts that the JingtouShan site is more than 8,000 years old, and the way of life of the ancients at that time was mainly based on seafood fishing, taking into account gathering and hunting, as well as early rice farming.
Let's put it this way, the jingtou mountain ruins are 1,000 years higher than the Hemudu culture. That's why archaeologists conclude that the JingtouShan site may have changed human history. Because this historical site actually predates the Hemudu culture by 1,000 years! And archaeologists from this site, learn more about how the ancients along the coast of the continent lived and migrated. Prehistoric sites dating back more than 5,000 years are so important because there were no written records at the time. Therefore, archaeologists are particularly important for the excavation and protection of these prehistoric sites. Coupled with the fact that the Site of Jingtou Mountain is not too far from Hemudu, then this site will be more important and more meaningful.
As early as 2017, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage took the lead and came to the site of Jingtou Mountain to guide excavations, collation and summary work. The importance of the archaeological site that can make the State Administration of Cultural Heritage so concerned does not need to be repeated by the author. The successive discovery of the two sites of Hemudu and Jingtou Mountain in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, has also attracted the attention of the world. As of this writing, I understand that the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Research Institute of Tosun University, and paleoanthropologists all want to get more first-hand information about the Jingtou Mountain site. The phrase "the source of the world is from China" should be a nail in the coffin.
