According to reports, Putin held talks with Macron on the Ukrainian issue on the 7th, emphasizing that the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization ignore the core security concerns that the Russian side has clearly put forward for many years, but the Russian side will still try its best to seek a compromise solution acceptable to all parties. Putin met with Macron in Moscow for more than five hours to discuss the security situation in Europe and bilateral relations.

Putin and Macron sit at opposite ends of a long table about 4 meters long to discuss the situation in Ukraine. Putin's move has triggered some speculation from the outside world for a while. Some diplomats have suggested that Putin may be trying to deliver a diplomatic message.

According to the British Guardian, after the "long table" talks, Putin and Macron did not make public concessions on any issue. Relevant people speculate that this table is Putin's intention to "show power" to Macron, and may even be a physical expression of "snubbing" Macron.

However, some people said that this big table was not making a "political statement" at all, and if it did, it was only Putin to avoid the new crown virus, which had nothing to do with the main purpose of the talks. Putin pays considerable attention to personal hygiene, saying that "the 69-year-old president is notoriously 'bigoted' about preventing the coronavirus."

But two of Macron's entourage told Reuters that Macron was faced with two choices: either to be tested by the Russian side and allowed to approach Putin, or to refuse to do so and have to observe stricter social distancing.

"We are well aware that this (refusal to accept the Russian test) means not shaking hands and that long table. But we can't accept that they have the president's DNA," one of the entourage told Reuters, referring to the security concerns that would arise if the French leader were tested by Russian doctors.

However, another member of Macron's entourage told him that Macron had already been tested for covid-19 in France before his departure and was also tested in Russia, but by his own doctors.

However, compared with the content of the talks, some netizens seem to be more interested in the way the two sides sit down, and some netizens have opened their minds and p out various versions of the talks.
