A man who rubbed shoulders with a Hugo Award

Today I read a book called Simulacron - 3.

Friends who have seen the Matrix know that it tells the story of our world is illusory, and in the real world our real body is used by aliens as energy.

"Mirage - 3" tells a story that is similar to his core, but the plot is completely different.

Today we will first introduce the author of "Mirage-3".

The author of the book is The American Daniel M. Galloye. It is estimated that everyone is very unfamiliar with this name. But if I mention William The name Gibson, which should be familiar to everyone, is the spokesperson for cyberpunk. His famous work "Neuromancer" is even more famous.

Forno · Vinci had written The Real Name three years earlier, but had not been able to become the face of cyberpunk. And Daniel S. Galloye made a prediction about cyberpunk 20 years ago!

Daniel · Galloye did not receive any major awards during his lifetime. In fact, his first novel, The Dark Universe, fell short of the Hugo Award by just one vote. That's when he cast that crucial vote for Heinlein. In other words, if he had voted for himself at the time, he would have won the Hugo Award with Heinlein.

If he wins such an important Hugo Award, he has a good chance of becoming a spokesperson for cyberpunk.

Daniel · Galuye was born in 1920 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and became a journalist after graduating from Louisiana State University. After the outbreak of World War II, he enlisted as a naval and air aviation instructor and test pilot. After retiring from the Navy, he returned to the press and publishing industry, first as a journalist and then as an editor, until he retired early in 1967 for health reasons, in 1976. Daniel · Galloye died of illness. He received the "Caldwina · Smith Rediscovery Award", also counted as a memorial for him.
