During the winter break of this season, Germany international Gossens transferred from Atalanta to Inter Milan, although he has just arrived at the new owner, but in a recent interview, he once again unabashedly expressed his love for Schalke 04, and even considered going to Schalke 04 retirement in the future.
Even after moving to Inter, Gossens is still eyeing the end of his career in Germany. Speaking to Sky, the 27-year-old said: "Just because I switched to Inter doesn't mean I ruled out going to the Bundesliga. I don't think my career has to end here. Of course, it would be great if I could end my career in Germany, and a shining farewell in Germany is my dream."
Gossons joined Inter Milan from Atlanta at the end of January, albeit on loan, but Inter had a buyout clause.
Gossens said: "In Germany, Schalke 04 will always be my favourite club and maybe they will rise again in four years and play an important role in the Bundesliga again, I would like to wish it wholeheartedly. Maybe by then, it will be the perfect moment for me to end my career there, but it's still a matter of the future, let's see what happens before that. Schalke 04 has currently been relegated in the Bundesliga.
