Eating cold powder and playing by the river is a leisure content that people like in the hot climate of Jinggu City, and the Spring Festival holiday is no exception, and Mangxian Village, which is not far from the county seat, is a good place to go.
For us, Mangxian Village is no stranger. In the spring of 2021, we went to Jinggu Xikang Yunshe Mangka Hot Spring to play, and learned a lot about dai culture and ethnic customs from the versatile teacher Yan Bao, who introduced us to his hometown of Mangxian Village, and we went to play a circle along the way.
At that time, there were few tourists in Mangxian Village, clean and tidy, beautiful wall paintings, unique tea fossils... We were very impressed. Unexpectedly, less than a year has passed, and it has become a place where Jinggu people like to go to leisure, with a lively atmosphere and a refreshing river, bringing people a lot of good mood and enjoyment.
Mangxian Village, a Dai village not far from the county seat of Jinggu, has a long history. In 1978, a fossil of Jinggu broad-leaved magnolia was found here.
According to the research and demonstration of scientists, it is believed that it is similar to the characteristics of modern tea tree leaves, which is an important basis for citing the most original origin of tea trees in the southwest region, so the folk call this place the land of tea ancestors.
It is said that in the poverty alleviation project, the relevant Units in Shanghai in the corresponding poverty alleviation village not only brought funds to the place, but also brought ideas.
With the support of Shanghai, Mangxian Village actively created a beautiful and characteristic village, displayed magnolia fossils, elephant foot drums, authentic cuisine and other elements with strong local characteristics and Dai family characteristics, built a wooden boardwalk for people to walk on the bank of the clear and turquoise stream at the head of the village, and built a large water wheel... Attracted a lot of people to come to play.
The Dai family in the village set up small food stalls in their own courtyards and on the roads in the village, cold powder, cold dried rice, Dai rice... It is very popular with tourists, and the villagers also benefit from it, which can be described as a lot of things.
In early spring and February, many places are still cold weather, but Jinggu is already more than 20 degrees of temperature, and the characteristics of large temperature differences between morning and evening make people unable to dress like summer, so dressing and undressing have become a must for everyone.
The village of Mangxian on holidays is lively but not noisy, although there are many people and traffic than on weekdays, but it does not seem crowded and complicated. There are parking lots at the head of the village on the side of the road and on the side of the riverbank, full of vehicles coming to visit.
Driving in the not very spacious roads in the village, you have to be careful to avoid, only to see that everyone is calm and careful, and most of the Jinggu people are slow and leisurely, very kind personality.
Unlike when we came last year, many families in the village have now opened their courtyard doors and set up small food stalls to sell homemade Dai family specialties, most of which are the appearance of a large number of diners and a booming business.
We went to a restaurant with a large number of diners. It was a Dai family home, the yard was spacious, the house was very new, the stall owner was a competent Dai woman, according to different needs, she skillfully packed cold powder, dried rice, rice noodles, added sour vinegar, scooped hijabs... The movements are coherent and very sharp.
According to their own taste, diners can choose from a large number of condiments to add, fresh and sour spicy into one, beautiful taste makes people nostalgic... Eating cold food in Jinggu will always not disappoint.
Not far downhill along the newly built concrete path, we reached the river. A hundred-meter-long walkway has been built on one side of the river, and a huge water wheel is slowly turning, as if telling a story of an old time, making people feel like crossing.
In the distance, there is a dense turquoise bamboo forest on the other side of the river, dancing in the wind, the sound of bamboo waves, some people resting under the bamboo forest, some people playing in the river; under the brilliant sun, the wind carries wetness, and from time to time it brings coolness; people wander on the riverside boardwalk and walk in the shallow river stream, which is a good experience.
Today's Mangxian Village has become the place where Jinggu's new Internet celebrities punch cards, in fact, it has a long history and is the place where the fossils of broad-leaved magnolias were found.
Mangxian Village is located in the north of Jinggu County, next to National Highway 215, on the way from the county seat to Mangka Hot Springs, the size of the village is not large, but it is clean and tidy. "Viewing the fossils of magnolias with wide leaves, appreciating the hundred dishes of the Dai family, passing on the charm of the elephant foot drum, and inheriting the new wind of social civilization" are the characteristic portrayals of Mangxian Village.
