The confrontation escalated further: Russia took out the strongest foundation of the Red Navy and fought back against NATO

The commander of the USS Truman aircraft carrier, Sharen, said in a statement a few days ago that the Uss truman aircraft carrier cherishes the opportunity to train with allies such as France and Italy. The addition of aircraft carriers from France and Italy offers an exciting opportunity. It is reported that the three aircraft carriers of the above-mentioned three countries will hold joint military exercises in the Mediterranean, and the exercise projects include the take-off and landing of US carrier-based aircraft on French aircraft carriers.

The Global Times said in the report: Along with the continued tense situation between Russia and Ukraine, the tense atmosphere in the neighboring Mediterranean Sea has become more and more intense. The joint exercises of the three aircraft carriers of the U.S., French and Italian navies in the Mediterranean are an attempt to exert greater military pressure on Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said more than once that the West is untrustworthy on the issue of NATO's eastward expansion, which is not a deliberate attempt to slander or smear the West's policy toward Russia. Rather, this is the lesson Putin learned after more than two decades of battling the West: The words of Western politicians are absolutely not credible.

French President Emmanuel Macron just met with Putin in Moscow to discuss the Ukrainian issue. However, as soon as Macron left Moscow, France sent aircraft carriers to form three aircraft carrier battle groups with US and Italian naval aircraft carriers to intimidate Russia in the Mediterranean and add fuel to the fire of the situation in Ukraine.

For the endless deception and provocation of Western countries, Russia's response to NATO's aircraft carrier threat has also surprised the West. According to the Global Times, what NATO did not expect was that this time Russia came up with the strongest foundation left by the Soviet Red Navy: three Glorious-class guided-missile cruisers known as "aircraft carrier killers" gathered together for the first time in more than 30 years to deal with the Western three-aircraft carrier battle group.

Until then, no matter how fierce the military confrontation between Russia and NATO, there had never been a scene of three Glorious-class guided-missile cruisers joining forces. It can be seen that Moscow is not going to leave any face for the West in this Ukrainian crisis. In other words, any military provocation by the West will be countered by the Russian military. Some Russian media disclosed that the Russian Navy has gathered three Glory-class guided missile cruisers in the Mediterranean Sea, and their exercise sites may be near the Western three-aircraft carrier fleet.

According to public information, the Glory-class guided-missile cruisers are equipped with 16 powerful "basalt" anti-ship missiles. The missile has a range of up to 550 km and a speed of Mach 2.5 per hour. Moreover, with the continuous improvement of Russia's national strength, the anti-aircraft carrier performance of the Glory-class guided-missile cruiser has also been improved, after the news that the Russian Navy may use zircon hypersonic missiles, replacing basalt missiles to become the standard anti-ship weapons of the Glory-class cruisers, which is absolutely a nightmare for NATO aircraft carriers.

The West has publicly rejected compromises on the proposed list of safeguards, and while that does not mean they dare to get Ukraine to join NATO, it is also an intolerable provocation in Russia's eyes. Therefore, since Russia is determined to solve the geopolitical security problems caused by NATO's eastward expansion after the Cold War, its target cannot be limited to only three NATO aircraft carriers exercising in the Mediterranean.

Russia's "Viewpoint" recently reported that the Russian Air force deployed MiG-31K fighters equipped with "dagger" hypersonic missiles in Kaliningrad. The Dagger missile, which has a range of more than 2,000 kilometers and is carried by the MiG-31K, a nuclear-tipped missile with a velocity of up to Mach 10 and capable of covering the entire European region. It is worth mentioning that the West currently does not have the ability to deal with such missiles.

Given the special geographical location of Kaliningrad, the Russian military deployed this type of missile there, which is equivalent to a sharp knife that penetrates deep into NATO's side. Some analysts believe that the Deployment of such missiles by the Russian army in Kaliningrad is equivalent to plunging the "dagger" into the heart of Europe.

Since Putin is determined to put an end to NATO's eastward expansion, it must have sufficient military strength and courage to fight a war to make the West feel unable to bear the consequences of provoking Russia. Therefore, whether Russia shows off the Navy's pressure box bottom weapons, deters NATO aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean, or deploys "dagger" missiles in Kaliningrad, it is actually a means of forcing the West to make compromises with Russia on the issue of stopping NATO's eastward expansion.
