What will be left after the disillusionment of the dream?

Liang Wendao on "The Great Gatsby"

.

The Great Gatsby is considered to be the best literary classic to document and describe the analysis of the American dream. It tells us what it feels like to be dreaming together throughout the ages of a country. It tells us what a person who dreams of such a worldly success is for, what he is going to do, what happens to him, and what will be left when the dream is disillusioned.

It wasn't until World War II that a war took the book's later turn. The soldiers of World War II were moved to see this book because through the novel they seemed to foresee the world waiting for them to return to the United States after the war. That world is a world of human desires, a world in which traditional social values have collapsed.

A dream of a material world, a dream of a value vacuum. The reason why Gatsby wants to get rich and famous is to climb up high society because he has a dream bigger than a fortune, and this dream is because he sees a high-society girl. He felt that he was not worthy of others, and what was even worse was that even the girl felt that Gatsby did not deserve her, and since then he has begun Gatsby's plan to change his life, and he has also begun to embark on a journey towards his dreams, as well as to face the ultimate disillusionment and disappearance.

In the United States in the 1920s, the air was filled with the smell of singing and indulgence. By chance, poor clerk Nick breaks into the hidden world of the rich man Gatsby, who spends a lot of money, and is surprised to find that the only obstacle in his heart is the small green light on the riverbank- in the shadow of the lamp, where the beloved Daisy lives. However, the cold reality cannot tolerate ethereal dreams, and in the end, the goddess in Gatsby's heart is nothing more than a mortal material girl. When all the truth comes out, Gatsby's tragic life is like fireworks, the brilliance is only a moment, and disillusionment is eternal. An ornate "Jazz Age" elegy, in Fitzgerald's pen, is like a dream.

The first time I read Fitzgerald, I started with The Great Gatsby and became fascinated by him. After reading the book and watching the movie. The story is surprisingly efficient, full of drama, coincidence, tight tension, Fitzgerald makes all of this imbued with warmth and sadness. Like a sad fairy tale, studded with gold-rimmed foam, it is how real and delicate the hustle and bustle. Did the character of Gatsby really exist? Gatsby's love, humble to ridiculous.

Fitzgerald is no use either, and he is soon abandoned by the times, dying suddenly with dreams of a re-emergence, like a pathetic character in his own novel. He loved the bustle, he wrote it all out, and then it was forgotten. Everything about him makes the article glow with a different gentle brilliance. What we have all insisted on, we may forget, we may still remember, but we cannot achieve it.
