The above netizens said that in recent days, the spread of the epidemic, Guangxi University is located in Nanning City, close to Baise City, the opening notice is still limited to the content sent on February 5, and it has not made an accurate answer to students' doubts about whether the opening time has been changed, and it is hoped that it will be able to inform whether the opening time will be changed.

The Paper noted that the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Opening of the Spring Semester of 2022 and the Prevention and Control of the Epidemic" released by the WeChat public account of Guangxi University on February 5 showed that Guangxi University implemented the "staggered peak return" at that time:

(1) All faculty and staff will return to school from February 9 (Wednesday) to February 11 to report to school, during which the system of on-the-job duty and leadership with shifts can be implemented.

(2) Full-time students return to school to register and attend classes from February 11, and the specific arrangements are:

First batch: Friday, February 11: All undergraduates of the class of 2017 and 2018 returned to campus.

The second batch: February 12 (Saturday): All undergraduate students of the class of 2019 and 2020, master's students of the class of 2021, and doctoral students of all grades will return to the school.

Third batch: February 13 (Sunday): All 2021 undergraduate students return to campus.

Fourth batch: February 18 (Friday): 2020 and previous year master's degree students return to campus.

On February 9, Guangxi University said in the latest notice that due to the current new crown epidemic in the region, according to the spirit of the higher-level documents and the actual situation of the school, it was decided that the students of our school would postpone their return to school after research.

That is, the new semester will be started according to the original plan, and the students will be postponed to return to school, and the specific return time will be notified separately according to the actual situation. (Faculty and staff should return to school to report to work according to the original plan from February 9 to February 11) In principle, teachers, students and employees should return to school at the specified time, and if they really need to return to school outside the specified time, they must have a legitimate reason and be approved by the unit where they work. Teachers, students and staff with a history of living in medium- and high-risk areas are temporarily suspended from returning to school.

At the same time, the teaching work was carried out according to the original plan, and the teaching was changed from offline teaching to online teaching. The Academic Affairs Office and the Graduate School shall make specific arrangements.

Regarding campus management, Guangxi University has listed five requirements:

(1) Application must be made to return to school. Before teachers, students and employees return to school, they should have nearly 14 days of self-health monitoring, 48-hour negative nucleic acid test certificate, health code and itinerary card truthfully reported, and only after the approval and consent of the unit can they arrange to return to school.

(2) Inspection is required when entering the school. The doorman staff should do a good job of "two-code joint inspection" of the school personnel, temperature measurement, identity verification and other work.

(3) Examination and approval is required for departure from school. Strengthen the management of students who stay in school and students who return to school early, do not leave the school unless necessary, and strictly perform the approval procedures if it is really necessary to leave the school.

(4) The ledger must be accurate. Each unit should accurately grasp the situation of the personnel of the unit, especially the teachers, students and employees in medium- and high-risk areas, and the teachers, students and employees who have returned to school in the epidemic-related areas, and do a clear count and clarify the situation.

(5) Care must be in place. For teachers, students and employees who are under control according to the requirements, the relevant units should strengthen humanistic care and provide necessary help for their work, study and life.

Guangxi University said in the latest notice that it will dynamically adjust prevention and control measures according to the development trend of the epidemic situation and the needs of prevention and control work.

According to the website of the Guangxi Health Commission on February 10, at 0-24:00 on February 9, there were 7 new locally confirmed cases in Guangxi (all of which were in Baise City). There are 187 locally confirmed cases, including 186 in Baise City, 1 case in Chongzuo City (reported on January 16, 2022), and 2 cases of local asymptomatic infection, including 1 case in Nanning City and 1 case in Chongzuo City (reported on December 8, 2021).

Baise is a border city and is the largest prefecture-level city in Guangxi, bordering Vietnam to the south and Nanning to the east. Guangxi Normal University in Nanning City also issued a "Proposal to Baise Students and Other Students of Guangxi Normal University" on February 9, saying that according to the school's arrangement, the current academic year was originally scheduled to be registered on February 27, 2022, and the official start of classes on February 28, if there is a change in the opening time due to the epidemic prevention and control situation, it will be notified separately. Please strictly abide by the school holiday and school opening time regulations, do not arrive at the school early and return to school late without approval.

According to data from the Baidu migration platform by Health Times, people who left Baise City in the week from January 31 to February 7 mainly flowed to Nanning, Guangxi, Hechi and other cities. Specifically, on February 3, as an example, the main destinations of Baise's emigrant population were: Nanning City, accounting for 34.55% of the total emigration population of Baise City, Hechi City, accounting for 16.91% of the total emigration population of Baise City, and Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, accounting for 8.24% of the total emigration population of Baise City. The top 10 destinations are also: Southwest Qianxi Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Chongzuo City, Guigang City, Yulin City, Liuzhou City, Laibin City, Qinzhou City. It can be seen that in early February, Nanning, Guangxi became the main destination for Baise to move out.
