Today, the Shenzhen Medical Insurance Bureau issued a brief case circular on the case of "AstraZeneca staff suspected of defrauding the medical insurance fund", the full text of which is as follows:

In July 2021, the Shenzhen Municipal Medical Security Bureau verified and found that the staff of AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was suspected of fraud and insurance fraud based on the clues of the report, and then under the guidance of the National Medical Insurance Bureau, it joined hands with the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau and other relevant units to conduct a special investigation. After meticulous work, the case was successfully cracked, a fraud gang suspected of tampering with the genetic test results of tumor patients to defraud the medical insurance fund was smashed, 17 people involved in the case were arrested, and all criminal compulsory measures were taken in accordance with the law. At present, the case is under further investigation and handling.
