On 10 February 2022, Indonesia national team mixed doubles coach Nova Vidianto commented on why Jordan/Melati was kicked out of the national team.

Jordan/Melati will debut as a non-national team at the German Open (Super 300), but Jordan thinks it's natural for him and Meratti to be eliminated in Indonesia.
After the German Open, Jordan/Melati will fly to Birmingham for the 2022 All England Tournament. Indonesia mixed doubles coach Nova Vidianto said that although Jordan/Melati is no longer participating in the national training, he still communicates well with them. Nova also acknowledges that Jordan/Melati is still Indonesia's best mixed doubles for now.
At a virtual press conference on Jan. 28, Nova said four things led PP PBSI to decide to abandon the world's fifth-ranked mixed doubles.

Throughout 2021, Jordan/Melati does look bad. They failed to win the BWF World Tour, then failed to win a medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and lost in the first and second rounds of the Indonesia Masters and Indonesia Open.
Jordan/Melati also failed to qualify for the group stage of the 2021 BWF World Tour Finals.
