The Spring Festival plus the Winter Olympics, the recent TV screen is not generally lively. In the first week of the working day, Yi Xuanjun wants to recommend a good drama that must not be missed - "The World of Man".

Liang Xiaosheng thought for three years before he started writing
To say that this drama, the original itself is not small.
It is adapted from the novel of the same name by the famous writer Liang Xiaosheng, and the original work itself won the Mao Dun Literature Award for the author, and Liang Xiaosheng, who is equal to the author, regards this "Human World" as the most important work in his writing career.
Why is it important? Because this story spans 50 years in length and totals 1.2 million words, it was written by Liang Xiaosheng over several years, and it is a phased summary of his own creation and thinking.
Liang Xiaosheng conceived and conceived "The World of Man" in 2010. He was just over 60 years old. He wants to write a work with a sense of the times, write about what changes have taken place in the lives of ordinary Chinese people in the past few decades, and how China has come to today step by step, and he wants to tell today's readers about this.
Liang Xiaosheng returned to the origin of his life. He has lived in urban civilian areas since he was a child, and he intends to write from the urban civilian life he is familiar with, and then diverge to other levels of society, write about the living conditions of different social classes, write about the life of the Chinese people and the development of the times for decades, write about the intersection of personal fate and the changes of the times, and write a 50-year history of the lives of the Chinese people. He thought about it for a long time. That's three years of thinking. It wasn't until early 2013 that he started writing.

Such a film brings together the author's great efforts, condenses his personal life experience, and is full of the author's thinking and reflection on the changes of the times, and it is not too much to say that it is a "tome".
However, this "tome" does not have its own depth and threshold in the film and television adaptation. Liang Xiaosheng, who has always interfered too much with the adaptation of his works, also gave full respect and trust this time, and the handwritten authorization letter was given to the adaptation team of "Human World", which only required "following a common principle: professional, pure, and change it any way you want." ”

Write the memories of the times Chinese
Liang Xiaosheng's concept of letting go also gave "The World of Man" a lot of creative space for film and television. In the adaptation team of "The World of Man", director Li Lu once filmed the well-known "In the Name of the People", and screenwriter Wang Haiyan is recognized as a master of writing life dramas.
The actors of the play also include Lei Jiayin, Xin Baiqing, Song Jia, Yin Tao, Ding Yongdai, Sarina, Cheng Taishen, Song Chunli, Sui Junbo, Huang Xiaolei, Yu Zhen and other domestic first-class actors, as well as Zhang Kaili, Wang Yang, Feng Lei, Ma Shaohua and other special guest actors for the play.
Such a team, "The World of Man" is destined not to be an ordinary life drama. "The World of Man" began in the 1970s, starting from the background of the era of "Knowing the Youth going to the mountains and going to the countryside", starting from the fate of ordinary Zhou family members in Jichun City, Northeast China.
At the beginning, the narrative structure spanning up to 50 years made "The World of Man" face such a question, is this another "Year after Year" that records the lives of civilians, or a version of "Please Answer 1988" in Northeast China?
The answer is clearly no. From the first episode, "The World of Man" has its own heavy atmosphere of the original work, from the fate of ordinary characters to the overlap with the times, And Chen Daoming's voice acting has its own magic of tracking time. Ordinary Zhou family members live in a small northeastern city similar to the workers' family hospital", their lives are not only personal encounters, but also reflect the glorious era of the "industrial eldest son" of the entire republic.
This is a history that today's young people may not know much about, but it is a gene engraved in the blood of people born in the 50s and 60s. In the play, the family structure of the Zhou family's two sons and one daughter, the collocation of strict fathers and loving mothers, and the living atmosphere full of strong human feelings are a portrayal of the life of ordinary families in an era.
The meaningful audiovisual language of "The World of Man" is full of warmth and memories of the past era, full of life details and strong human sophistication, and meticulously portrays the era in which the Zhou family lives. Zhou Bingkun, played by Lei Jiayin, as the youngest son in the family, although not as good as his brother and sister, is the beloved son who accompanies his mother's knee to perform filial piety. Complaining that her sister's sweater pants are too tight, she lost her job by fighting with the factory manager, and relied on small cleverness to find a "fake brother-in-law" to work.
Chun Yan, who grew up with guangzi tablets and green plum bamboo horses, is bent on marrying Bingkun, the trivial things that the two gag you come and go, and the buddy spirit of Zhou Bingkun's "six gentlemen", are all unique to the human touch of the times.
Those seemingly scattered trifles are not idle strokes, but use a little detail to form the living atmosphere of an era, the era of material shortage and collective supply, the social atmosphere in which everyone was once proud of the status of the working class, and the policy environment that attaches importance to urban household registration and minds class identity.
In the propaganda poster of "The World of Man", it is written that "in the fireworks of the world, morality and responsibility are displayed, and feelings and aspirations are expressed in the joy and sorrow." It is this steaming home flavor and pyrotechnics that make "The World of Man" present an unprecedented warmth and harmony. This is precisely the historical value that Qian Mu once preached in the Outline of National History, and the people of the country should have: "Those who know a little about the past history of their own country must be accompanied by a kind of warmth and respect for the past history of their country." ”

Scenery manufacturing northeast old town
Period dramas have always pursued the ultimate sense of realism, and "The World of Man" is no exception.
In order to vividly restore the span of time and space of fifty years, the main creator of the crew lasted more than three years from the preparation of the script, and carried out an intense shooting that took six months, and the details were "harsh" control, from the historical scenes of various periods, the changes in the family environment at various stages, to various types of life props, bowls and spoons, all of which coincided with the original appearance of the era in the northern environment.
With the plot of the characters going to the mountains and going to the countryside, the crew traveled to Changchun, Harbin, Liaoning, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guiyang and other places to shoot. In order to reproduce the residential areas of the old industrial city in the northeast that year, the crew took a 40,000-square-meter scene, the light line used 70,000 meters, and the lights of the scene were enough to install dozens of ultra-long box cars.
In the preparation stage of shooting, a lot of old objects were also collected, and a prop library of about 1,000 square meters was built, like the old posters, old wall calendars, and old clothes that appeared in the play, many of which were real things collected through the collection. "Striving to let the audience dream back to that era as soon as they see it" is the goal that the crew hopes to achieve.
The impressive light word film, the state of restoration when it was broadcast, really made many northeastern viewers marvel, and felt that they had returned to the environment where they once lived. The most floating content on the bullet screen is "I envy the life at that time, the feelings at that time."
The poverty of economic conditions does not stop people's enthusiasm for life, and the story that followed zhou Bingkun did not serve as a punishment for fate to bring down such a family. Perhaps, this is the Chinese family that "The World of Man" really hopes to express, they always have love, they never give up.
