National treasures and flowers began to study intensely, and I could not waste my time. Recently watched the TV series "Call the Midwife", five seasons, and was deeply moved by the story and characters in the play. If I had shown this drama ten years earlier, I would probably have adjusted my confusion in the face of work. It seems that someone said that to cheer up always starts from learning English [embarrassing laughter], I also start with English, but I will stick to the [refueling] today to read the comments, there are almost no words that will not, but vivid translation is impossible, do I still have to buy a Chinese version of the comparison?

'Worth is indeed a natural storyteller - in the best sense of the term, with apparent artlessness in fact concealing high art - and her detailed account of being a midwife in London's East End is gripping, moving and convincing from beginning to end ... Call the Midwife is also a powerful evocation of a long-gone world ... and in Worth it has surely found one of its best chroniclers'

'A chilling insight into life for the average mother in the 1950s '

'Worth is a stylish and dramatic writer'

'This delightful memoir brings to vivid life London's East End ... full of humour . . . Worth's talent shines from every page'Sainsbury'

'Funny, disturbing and incredibly moving, Call the Midwife opens a window onto the fascinating and colourful world of the East End in the I950s'

'Jennifer Worth's entertaining and moving account of her experiences among the Docklands people balances sentiment with gritty realism'

'A candid, poignant memoir ... this gripping narrative includes breech babies, adulterous relationships, urban pig-breeding and a surreal strip show in a brothel'

'[Worth's] moving account ... is beautifully written ... A book of memories which aims to elevate the profession of midwifery in the public consciousness'

'In her marvellous new book ... there are desperately sad stories here, but tales of great hope too. Of ordinary people living, giving birth and building their families despite enormous hardship and poor sanitation. And of midwives delivering superb care in the toughest conditions'

'Nobody who reads Call the Midwife will ever forget it'

'Descriptions of life which are not for the easily offended reader. No detail of either midwifery or prostitution is left undepicted in graphic detail'

'Sheer magic'
