It is not easy to love people, it is not easy to be a parent, and it is not easy to live, so we must bravely live every day. Whether it is Brenda, a rickety woman who is in danger of the death of both mothers and babies in every childbirth, but never gives up hope; or Mary, a fifteen-year-old prostitute who took a ferry to London to escape domestic violence, but was forced to separate from her newborn daughter in the dust; or Conchita Warren, a mother of 25 children who was born prematurely in the case of a concussion but miraculously regained consciousness because of her child's eagerness, all show the tenacity and strength of maternal love.

The author Jennifer Wirth portrays the life of the people of London, England, as a caregiver in the past, in a realistic and vivid way. There is no undisciplined trembling wit and low-level show-off bitterness, and the words convey warmth, responsibility and love. Through one picture after another, we can see the miracle of life, and the cruelty of reality, cold and gentle. Give you warmth, give you joy, give you tenderness, give you hope. The characters in the book are like you and me in life, chai rice oil salt sauce vinegar tea, the characters are warm and rough, such as warm sun in winter, streamers on summer nights, tranquility and determination, and warm ironing.

Compared with the TV series of the same name, the character image is more plump and distinct, and the storyline is more complete and moving. Trust, mutual help, love, protection, and even disgust and provocation are written deeply into the hearts of the people, do not avoid darkness, do not give up embracing hope, first born, then dead, full of strong love and warmth. Everyone who reads this book immediately calls their mother and says, "I love you!" ”
