On February 10, the National Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Tesla would recall 26,681 cars in the United States due to software errors that could lead to a decline in the defrosting performance of the windshield.

It is understood that the software error may cause one of the valves in the heat pump to open inadvertently, which will trap the refrigerant inside the evaporator, and Tesla will solve this problem through a software update.

Notably, Under the supervision of U.S. regulators and some legislatures, Tesla has launched multiple recalls in recent months, including multiple recalls for software defects. Counting from February this year alone, this is the third time Tesla has recalled cars. Previously, on February 1 and 3, Tesla had recalled cars separately, involving nearly one million vehicles.

On Feb. 3, Tesla recalled nearly 54,000 vehicles because of its "rolling parking" feature, which was deemed to violate traffic laws in most states.

The "rolling stop" feature allows cars to pass an "all-way stop" intersection at a maximum speed of 5.6 miles per hour (9 kilometers) at a maximum speed of 5.6 miles per hour (9 kilometers) when it detects that there are no vehicles, pedestrians, or bicycles nearby.

Tesla said it has not yet found any casualties or accidents related to the recall, but NHTSA said that in some cases, Tesla vehicles may reduce the visibility of the windshield, which will increase the risk of collisions in the vehicle.
