A few days ago, the Zhongshan Municipal People's Procuratorate filed a public prosecution with the Zhongshan Intermediate People's Court in accordance with the law in a case of Cao Dahua, former deputy secretary general of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government (at the level of the main office), who was suspected of accepting bribes.

During the review and prosecution stage, the procuratorial organs informed the defendant Cao Dahua of his procedural rights in accordance with the law, interrogated the defendant in accordance with the law, and listened to the defender's opinions. The Zhongshan Municipal People's Procuratorate indicted and charged: From 2006 to 2021, defendant Cao Dahua took advantage of his position as director and general manager of Nanfang Construction Real Estate Co., Ltd. and secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of Guangdong Nanyue Group Co., Ltd. to seek benefits for other individuals or companies, and illegally accepted property alone or in collusion with others, the amount of which was particularly huge, and he should be investigated for criminal liability for accepting bribes according to law.

Recently, the Yunnan Provincial Supervision Commission concluded its investigation into the case of Zhang Yaowu, former member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress and former deputy director of the Agricultural Work Committee, who was suspected of accepting bribes and transferred to the procuratorial organs for review and prosecution. Upon designation of jurisdiction by the Yunnan Provincial People's Procuratorate, the Yuxi Municipal People's Procuratorate shall file a public prosecution with the Yuxi Intermediate People's Court in accordance with law.

The Yuxi Municipal People's Procuratorate indicted and charged: Defendant Zhang Yaowu, while serving as secretary of the Xuanwei Municipal CPC Committee, secretary of the Nujiang Prefecture CPC Committee, director of the Land and Resources Department of Yunnan Province, member of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress, and vice chairman of the Agricultural Work Committee, took advantage of his position to seek benefits for a trustee, or took advantage of the convenience of his position of authority to seek improper benefits for others and illegally accepted property from others through the acts of other state functionaries, the amount of which was particularly huge, and he should be investigated for criminal responsibility for accepting bribes according to law.
