On February 8, SAIC Volkswagen released the official map of the mid-term revamp of Langyi. The new car will be available in two exterior designs, with a suspended central control screen for the first time in the interior, which is expected to be officially unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year.
In terms of appearance, the new car will adopt the dual exterior design of the ordinary version and the "starry sky version". Among them, the ordinary version of the model adopts the shape of the lateral grille chrome decorative strip connected to the LED light group on both sides, and the bracketing shape is also redesigned.
The "Starry Sky Edition" provides a starry-embellished front grille and a more dynamic enveloping shape for a more recognizable look.
The side shape continues the modern and smooth style of Langyi, and the slender waist line runs through the front and back, full of three-dimensional sense and power. The new car will also match different rim shapes for different exterior versions, and the hubs of the starry sky version of the tree branch shape look very full, enhancing the fashion sense of the whole car.
The rear shape is layered, and the new black LED stereo taillights are replaced, which echo the headlights. At the same time, the "Star Edition" model is also equipped with black exterior mirrors, a rear wing and a black roof.
The most obvious improvement in the interior part is the adjustment of the central control modeling design, and the embedded central control screen of the Volkswagen "ancestry" has been changed to a suspension design, which is more in line with the driver's habits and improves the safety during driving.
In front of the driver, a new steering wheel and a full LCD instrument were replaced. In addition, the air outlets, dashboards and door panels are made of shiny silver texture materials, and some models also provide red seat stitching and trim panels to enhance the sophistication of the car.
In the power part, Volkswagen's latest 1.5T engine will continue to be absent in the early stage, and will continue to be equipped with a 1.4T engine, with a maximum power of 110kW (150 hp) and a peak torque of 250N·m. The drivetrain is mated to a 7DCT (dual-clutch) transmission.
