In 2021, Qujing City received a total of 40,396 public appeals. Among them, 8466 complaints, an increase of 47.18% year-on-year, 1402 reports, an increase of 1.96% year-on-year, and 30528 consultations, an increase of 0.55%. Up to now, 9688 cases have been completed, with a completion rate of 98.18%, saving 23.0702 million yuan in economic losses for consumers.

Complaint analysis: The city received a total of 5353 complaints about commodities, accounting for 63.23% of the total number of complaints. The top five complaints were: 1294 general food, 876 vehicles, 538 clothing, shoes and hats, 300 household items, 258 communication products, and 2980 service complaints, accounting for 35.20% of the total number of complaints. The top five complaints were: 397 catering and accommodation services, 394 beauty salon and bath services, 276 telecommunications services, 252 production and maintenance repair services, and 212 education and training services.

Analysis of reports: The city accepted a total of 1402 reports, and the top five reports were: 248 advertising violations, 197 food problems, 130 product quality violations, 74 price violations, and 61 illegal charging behaviors.

Complaints and reporting hot issues: First, there are many disputes over contract disputes. Among them, there were 1988 complaints and 10 reports, accounting for 20.51% of the total number of complaints and reports in the whole year. It is mainly concentrated in the purchase of houses, car purchases, house decoration, sports and fitness services, beauty salon services, education and training services, commodity reservations, etc., most of which are refund disputes and contract breach disputes. Second, food safety demands remain high. Among them, 690 complaints were made and 197 were reported. It mainly reflects that the food sold by the merchant has problems such as moldy deterioration, adulteration or mixing with foreign bodies, unspecified price marking, irregular labeling of prepackaged food, and substandard restaurant hygiene. Of all complaints and reports involving food safety, 90.86% were sold through online platforms. Third, the popularity of complaints about clothing, shoes and hats has not decreased. Among them, 538 complaints were made and 27 were reported. It mainly reflects the uneven quality of clothing, such as fabric balling, fading after washing, deformation, footwear opening and bottoming problems. Fourth, there are many complaints and reports on advertising problems. Among them, 150 complaints were filed and 248 were reported. Mainly concentrated on online food shopping, medical beauty, real estate publicity, etc., reflecting that operators exaggerate product performance and efficacy, make misleading publicity, and publish false information on the web page that is inconsistent with the actual situation.
