Agence France-Presse reported on February 6 that since France's new anti-waste law came into effect at the beginning of this year, luxury brands have changed their previous strategy of directly destroying unsalable products and instead adopted the method of selling, donating or recycling to internal employees at a discount. British luxury brand Burberry has sparked controversy over the destruction of £28 million worth of unsalable products.
