On the evening of February 4, the opening ceremony of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games was held at the Beijing National Stadium. In the performance session of the opening ceremony "Construct a Snowflake", young dancers held aloft snowflake-like hand cards, and through the interaction between dance and ground light and shadow, all the snowflakes gathered together to form a big snowflake, which left a deep impression on the audience across the country. Among them are two Dongguan Chang'an girls, they are Mo Yutong and Wen Yinyin, children who grew up from the Little Lotus Art Troupe in Chang'an Town, Dongguan.

Mo Yutong and Wen Yinyin are currently studying at the Beijing Dance Academy, and are freshmen majoring in modern dance and ballet, respectively. Since October last year, they and other students have used their spare time to participate in the dance rehearsal of the opening ceremony, carefully practicing dance moves and stage positioning, and the rehearsal is not easy. "Once, when I was training at night, the temperature was below freezing, and everyone's hands were frozen after rehearsal." Wen Yinyin recalled to reporters.

There were many challenges, but everyone persevered. On the evening of the 4th, a moment before the official debut, Mo Yutong and Wen Yinyin were very excited to see chinese athletes entering the stage, and they were honored and proud to participate in the opening ceremony performance.

In the evening, "Construct a Snowflake" was successfully performed, and the flexible dance and brilliant light and shadow left a stunning scene for the opening stage of the Winter Olympic Games. "The performance went well and our efforts over the past four months have been worth it, leaving no regrets." Mo Yutong said happily, "Thank you very much to the Beijing Dance Academy for providing me with the opportunity to perform this performance and let me appear at the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics." My family also watched the live broadcast of the opening ceremony in Chang'an to cheer me on. ”

He was a member of the Little Lotus Art Troupe

It is worth mentioning that these two "post-00s" girls who have learned dance since childhood were once members of the Little Lotus Art Troupe in Chang'an Town. Mo Yutong and Wen Yinyin were only 5 or 6 years old when they were admitted to the Little Lotus Art Troupe to study dance, and they had to practice early work at 7 o'clock every morning, and one practice was 5 years.

In the Little Lotus Art Troupe in Chang'an Town, they were lucky enough to meet their own dance initiation teacher. "He gave us a lot of help in our studies and life, and it was with the encouragement of my teachers that I firmly believed in my goal of entering a professional art college." Mo Yutong said that the study experience in the art troupe has also laid a good foundation for her artistic pursuit of dreams.

"I was particularly pleased and touched to see that the children of the Little Lotus Art Troupe could walk out of Chang'an and step onto the big stage of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, as a teacher of the Little Lotus Art Troupe." Xie Zhiwei, artistic director of the Little Lotus Art Troupe in Chang'an Town, said. He hoped that with the strong support and care of the Chang'an Town Government and the joint efforts of all the teachers of the Little Lotus Art Troupe, more children with artistic dreams could be helped to realize their dreams, be admitted to the ideal dance school, and take a bigger stage to add luster to chang'an's cultural and educational undertakings.

It is understood that the Chang'an Town Little Lotus Art Troupe was established in October 2007, which is the first children's art group in Chang'an Town led by the Chang'an Town Mission, Culture, Sports and Tourism Office. Over the years, the troupe has made great achievements in children's dance creation, creating excellent works such as "Xuejun", "Heroes from Ancient Times", "I Am Cantonese", "Dragon Boat", "Qinglian", "Hoe He", "Paradise" and other excellent works, and has repeatedly won national, provincial and municipal professional art awards. Some members of the troupe have also been successfully admitted to the People's Liberation Army Academy of Arts, Beijing Dance Academy, Shanghai Theater Academy, Guangdong Dance and Drama Academy and other national professional art institutions.
