On February 4, the fourth day of the Chinese New Year, the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, everything came as promised. As a live spectator, I felt both lucky and excited, standing in the stands of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, I felt like I had a dream. The whole process is wonderful and shocking.
From the service arrangement before entering the venue to the beautiful performance, I really want to give all the staff a big thumbs up.
At less than 9 o'clock in the morning of the 4th, I woke up early with the expectation of the opening ceremony. Because I had to arrive at Chaoyang Park by 12:30 a.m. by bus to reach the Bird's Nest, time was precious. For me, who participated in such a grand event for the first time, I was afraid of some "unexpected" situations.
The journey went smoothly, and after arriving at the Bird's Nest site, I was struck by the details of the staff's work. From security check to assembly, from queuing to riding, from getting off to admission, everything is orderly and not panicked. At the moment of epidemic prevention and control, it takes a lot of effort to let more than 10,000 viewers, media and staff in the closed loop and outer ring enter the scene in turn without intersecting, the service is in place, and the implementation is accurate. Apparently, they did.
In addition, there are many "small surprises" appearing.
The seats of the bus are prepared with calorie-replenishing food for each person: chocolate, torn bread, yogurt, beef sticks... Warm spectator packs were prepared for each person on the seats of the opening ceremony: hats, gloves, small blankets, cushions, masks... The drinking water place set up in each entrance channel, the hot water and warm water are self-picked up, the disposable paper cup is small and environmentally friendly, and there is no need to worry about waste, etc., all of which reflect the meticulousness of the staff.
And the most heartwarming thing is the volunteers inside and outside the nest. Wherever there are people, you can always hear their enthusiastic voices. "Happy Chinese New Year!" "Go over here and I'll take you over. In the cold winter, their enthusiastic help to the audience is particularly warm.
The grandeur of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics has been seen all over the world, and I believe that they have read the romance of the Chinese and received a big surprise.
Whether it is the countdown to the opening festival, or the presentation of the five rings that break the ice, or the construction of the snowflake torch, they all interpret the concept of "simple, safe and wonderful", combined with the power of science and technology to give people the ultimate enjoyment of vision and hearing, which is perfect.
What impressed me the most was the raising of the national flag and the playing of the national anthem. A child trumpeter blows the melody of "My Motherland and Me". Representatives of all walks of life, advanced model figures, and 56 nationalities slowly passed the bright five-star red flag to the flag-raising area of the stadium with their hands and delivered it to the hands of the salute soldiers. All stood up and sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China. The five-star red flag was rising, and my eyes were moist.
The wonderful opening ceremony is over, but the Beijing Winter Olympics have just begun. I believe and look forward to the future competitions, Chinese Olympic athletes can achieve excellent results, but more importantly, to dedicate a simple, safe and wonderful Olympic event to the world.
