The reporter learned that this unprecedented snowflake form of the main torch platform, whether it is the overall hardware support or software system, is independently developed and designed by the Beijing high-tech enterprise BOE.
It is understood that the main torch stand has a diameter of 14.89 meters, consisting of 96 small snowflakes and 6 olive branch forms of LED double-sided screen ideas, using double-sided hollow design, embedded with more than 550,000 LED lamp beads, each lamp bead is independently controlled by a single channel driving the chip.
According to the relevant person in charge of BOE, in order to realize the creative concept that the torch platform of the director group should be like "shining like a diamond", the core R & D team has developed the narrowest single-pixel controllable special-shaped display product with the narrowest luminous surface in the industry through more than 500 design drawings and nearly 10 rounds of sample preparation, fully presenting the line sense of snowflakes and the delicate picture display effect, and successfully turning the artistic creativity of the director group into reality.
102 double-sided screens, once there is a tiny signal out of sync, it will have a great impact on the entire interactive process. At the opening ceremony, the moment the torch was lit, the giant snowflake screen radiated from the center to the surroundings, shining a wave-like layer of brilliant light. Behind the rapid transformation and perfect synchronization of the display screen, the BOE team AIoT (artificial intelligence + Internet of Things) technology system and the self-developed same/asynchronous compatible messaging system are adopted, which can quickly distribute large-scale video content in a very short period of time, and synchronous centralized control ensures that 102 double-sided screens achieve millisecond response.
In addition, the highly redundant control system backed up by "main road + loop" ensures the ultra-high reliability of the flare station broadcast control system. At the same time, by using a long-distance radio low-latency control system with synchronous playback time correction technology, it further ensures that the instruction is issued without mistakes and realizes the perfect coordination of video pictures.
The glittering stage of the opening ceremony and the performances of the actors and the real-time interaction also became the focus of attention. According to BOE technicians, through the ultra-large-scale display module control and synchronization system independently developed by its team, the system can also capture the actor's trajectory in real time to achieve seamless interaction between the picture and the actor. At the same time, in the high-intensity rehearsal of up to 5 months and the extremely low temperature rain and snow weather of minus 30 degrees Celsius in winter, the ground display system can still achieve stable operation, and perfectly present the dreamlike and realistic beauty of science and technology to the world on the opening day.
