Haidian high-tech enterprise Lyard undertook the production and installation tasks of the beijing Winter Olympic Games opening ceremony floor screen, ice waterfall, ice cube, north and south grandstand screens and playback systems. "The vision of 'engraving' is produced by the combination of laser and ice cube 3D visual effects." Li Jun, chairman of Leyard Group, introduced.
The ice cube is 22 meters long, 7 meters wide and 10 meters high, and is composed of LED screens. The five rings themselves are also an LED screen, when it is unveiled, the laser located on the 4th floor of the grandstand shines on the ice cube, the ice cube is "carved", with the top cover of the ice cube turned down, with the laser "carving", the bottom of the five rings slowly rises, the LED screen on the four sides of the ice cube slowly descends, while playing the three-dimensional visual effect of the ice slag splashing around, the three aspects of the perfect cooperation, it forms the visual effect of the five rings being "carved" out by a little bit.
In addition to the ice cube, there are 11,626 square meters of ground screens and 60 meters high ice falls, which are also composed of LED screens.
In the first program of the opening ceremony, the grass revived and transformed into a huge dandelion, the little boy gently blew, the dandelion flew away, fireworks bloomed in the sky, and the two words of Lichun were clearly revealed. This wonderful transformation is also inseparable from the cooperation of the ground screen and the ice waterfall. Wang Jiazhi, technical leader of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games of Leyard Group, introduced that the silhouette of the little boy on the big screen blew up the dandelion, and the dandelion seeds were scattered through the ground screen, floating to the ice waterfall, slowly rising upwards, when the dandelion floated to the top of the ice waterfall and held the "bowl mouth" of the bird's nest, fireworks bloomed above the bird's nest, like dandelions floating in the air, presenting a dreamlike picture. The realization of this effect requires precise time control, behind which is a "timeline" of the opening ceremony, and all equipment movements are running with the timeline, reaching every minute and second, only to present the excitement of the whole performance.
