"Jade Hairpin" is a representative play of the Golden School of Yue Opera, pouring the painstaking efforts of several generations of Yue opera performance artists, among which "Cave Room", "Guining", "Three Covers", "Sending Phoenix Crown" are popular singing segments, and its artistic style is tragic comedy, which is both sad and tear-inducing, but also hilarious.
This performance version is based on the original taste of the film version starring Jin Caifeng, which retains the classicity while also improving the stage visual.
Qiu Jinyuan said,
"Learning to sing the Golden School's "Jade Hairpin" has been performed for 22 years and more than 600 times, but it is the first time that he has brought this play to the stage of Shencheng. It is also a fulfillment of the teacher's and his own wishes. ”
