The Pixel 4a is also the last Pixel phone to be launched for multiple markets. Starting with 5G Pixels (4a 5G and 5), Google has severely limited launches in major markets such as the U.S. and Japan.

IT Home understands that Google has launched the Pixel 4a's successor, the Pixel 5a, so the shutdown is also expected.

A Google spokesperson previously said that it is expected that in the weeks after the launch of Pixel 5a, Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will be completely sold out in the US market. Compared to these two older models, the Pixel 5a is more cost-effective.
