Zhang Yifan: The intention of this program is to combine and collide tradition and modernity, and the traditional martial arts are mixed with the steel jungle of modern cities, symbolizing that traditional Chinese culture has bred the civilization of modern cities, and high-rise buildings are like China's steel backbones, towering high.
The core word of Tai Chi: harmony, symbiosis. The Paper: Why do you perform Tai Chi on tall buildings, and what considerations do you make when choosing a city high-rise building?
Zhang Yifan: When we think of martial arts, we think of people "flying" in the sea of bamboo and clouds like the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", and this time our martial arts program arranges three Tai Chi champions on the top of the three tall buildings of the most dynamic and modern cities, including the tallest building in China, the Shanghai Tower, overlooking the city in the air, surrounded by clouds and mist, the buildings are like steel bamboo forests, and the three Tai Chi "masters" move and take off in between. The Paper: Can you talk about the process of shooting in Shanghai, and have you encountered any difficulties?
Zhang Yifan: From the perspective of the actor, we first considered choosing a star, such as Wu Jingjing, but then decided that since it is a martial art, it is still performed by three martial arts champions, which is more convincing, these three martial arts champions are also very star temperament, high appearance, and are world champions, National Games champions, national martial arts champions, so the three of them came to this to participate in this show, in fact, added a lot to this show.
