The Yuan Ri Ti (元日帖) is the work of the Northern Song Dynasty calligrapher, painter, and calligraphy theorist Mi Fu, the third of his nine cursive scripts, 25.2 cm high and 40.5 cm wide, written around 1099 (the second year of the Song and Yuan Fu). Most of the cursive writing of this post is directly from the Jin people, and the pen also has the characteristics of the Jin people. The whole work uses a swift pen, the wrist strength is heavy, both fast and strong, the ups and downs are vivid, the change in the thickness of the line is strongly contrasted, the gesture is continuous, the momentum is compelling, and the temperament is bursting. The Ming Dynasty people all mu bao's "Yuan Ri Ti" Yun: "Weng this volume tasted into the Shaoxing Secret Palace, and later had his son Yuan Hui inscription, Gai Haiyue Pingsheng Proud Book also." Among them, there is a poem by Deng Hai Dai Lou, and the small characters are noted in the clouds: "Three or four times to write, there are one or two words between them, and the letter is also difficult." 'Fu Hai Yue Shu can be described as entering the room of the Jin people. ”
Mi Fu has the highest ability to write, but cursive has a unique meaning. This "Yuan Ri Ti" represents the height of his grass method. In the first year of the Yuan Dynasty, Mi Fu purchased the "Fourteen Theses of Jinxian", which inspired his understanding of cursive writing. He took the Fa Jin people, and once said in the "Treatise on Books" that "if cursive writing does not enter the Jin personality, it will become the next product." Mi Fu admired Xiao Wang, once saying that "the son respects innocence and transcendence, and the father can be compared".
The characteristic of "Yuan Ri Ti" is that there is very little continuous between the words, but it can be connected from beginning to end, echoing left and right, and if it is hidden, the layout is free and not messy. The penmanship is extremely varied but there is no flashiness, Lu Feng picks up the pen, the ups and downs, the change is heavy, so that it presents a state of natural and easy, and it is also a little less dashing than the Jin people, which may be caused by the arrangement of the conclusion before the next pen, so the literati atmosphere of "Yuan Ri Ti" is heavier.
Interpretation: The first day of the bright window burns incense, the northwest to my friend, its eternal nostalgia can be known. The exhibition "Emperor Wen's Great Order" was not as good as his book. When writing a few books, the believers are in front, and the arrogance is intimidating.
