Store managers Zhao Jiang and Yang Dongbao told reporters that at present, the franchised retail stores have a rich variety of goods, more than 1500 kinds of products sold in the store, both commemorative and practical, generally welcomed by staff and volunteers, and the hot products are mainly badges, ornaments and other products with mascot logos. Peking University volunteers have also come to the venue team to work, and the badges containing the elements of the Boya Tower of Peking University have also been sold out for a while. Since the National Aquatics Center began operating the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee franchise retail store in 2018, it has established a solid cooperative relationship and product feedback channels with various licensed manufacturers, so after opening this store, it has been able to cooperate with various manufacturers to launch a variety of special products with "ice cube" and curling elements, which is one of the stores with the largest proportion of featured goods in all the licensed retail stores in the competition venues.
According to the two store managers, the licensed retail store is fully prepared for daily operations. For example, there are no steps in the store, the cash register is equipped with barrier-free facilities, etc., the retail store has made every effort to reduce the risk of epidemic prevention and control through daily pre-game disinfection, hand disinfectant at the door, and non-crossing of the in-store circulation line, so as to ensure that the audience has a good time consumption experience.
When talking about the value and significance of the franchise of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, Zhao Jiang said that while ensuring economic benefits, it is more important to widely disseminate Olympic culture to the society through licensed goods, so that more people can participate in this world-renowned Winter Olympic event. When recalling the experience of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, many consumers spontaneously exchanged badges and other souvenirs near the venue because they could not enter the venue to watch the game without buying tickets, sharing the joy of the grand event. This year, due to the impact of the epidemic, many people could not enjoy the wonderful events in person at the Ice Cube, so the purchase of special goods has become an important way for the public to participate in the Winter Olympics. At present, after 10 days of trial operation, the Licensed Retail Store of the National Aquatics Center Venue Operation Team Competition is running smoothly, has sufficient inventory, and is fully prepared for the first spectator on February 2.
