Chrome for Android will ask you if you want to close all tabs at once

If you're the kind of person who opens a web browser tab on your phone (you know who you are), you probably have a sinking feeling when you close each tab and realize that you've just lost a necessary link to a website. At least in the future, you won't have so many scary moments. Techdows and Android Police noticed that the Canary Channel for Android Chrome 100 added a setting flag ("Turn off modal dialog for all tabs") that asks for confirmation when you try to close all tabs at once.

Chrome for Android will ask you if you want to close all tabs at once

Chrome on the desktop will let you close all the tabs in a window by getting rid of that window, but overall it's harder to accidentally erase your tab set. On Android, "Close all tabs" is so close to the other tab options that you might get it by mistake.

Canary's build is unstable, so you may want to wait until beta or polished. It's unclear how long Google will incorporate the flag into its regular settings or enable it by default, provided the feature survives in a future release. However, it's easy to see that this confirmation is cut – it's one of those seemingly small features that can save you from embarrassing searches through browsing history.
