With the Lunar Year of the Tiger approaching, Wang Fang, who initiated the establishment of the Reading Club of the General Office of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and served as the general liaison for 10 years, created a group of tiger painting calendars for friends with the theme of "Tiger", thinking that the coming year would be auspicious and welcome the New Year.
"Zodiac culture is one of the most representative folk cultures in Chinese culture, and I usually paint hundreds of such animals every year. This year, from the beginning of New Year's Day to the present, a total of about 30 tiger calendars have been drawn and given to colleagues, relatives and friends. Wang Fang told reporters that she has a deep love for China's excellent traditional culture, and will give hand-painted New Year gifts every year, using the freehand way of Chinese painting to paint the zodiac animals of the year to give to relatives and friends, which has become a habit of his own.
The tiger is an important totem and symbol in the traditional culture of the mainland, which symbolizes the majestic and heroic attitude of life. Its beautiful posture and unique markings, especially the "King" character on the forehead, have laid the status of the "King of the Hundred Beasts", and the figure of the tiger can often be seen in various folk folk products such as New Year paintings, paper-cutting, clay sculptures, and muppets.
As a lover and practitioner of Chinese painting, Wang Fang painted tigers in order to learn and improve the techniques of Chinese animal painting in addition to sending friends. "Tigers are a relatively common subject in Chinese painting, and both folk craftsmen and entertainers, as well as culturalists and court painters, are very fond of representing tigers. I very much agree with this excellent cultural form, and the inheritance and development of this kind of excellent Chinese culture is the mission and glory of our generation. ”

Wang Fang believes that tiger culture is rich in content and has a beautiful meaning. Tigers, as commonly used materials in paintings, not only like the painter, but also after integrating into people's spiritual pursuits, everyone hopes to use the meaning of the tiger to motivate themselves to make continuous progress. "The Chinese New Year is festive and auspicious, the art of Chinese painting is broad and profound, and celebrating its own New Year day by pasting the Spring Festival and painting mascots is a manifestation of a deep Chinese feeling."
