The large-scale acrobatic stage play "Nie Er" began to be planned and created in 2019, based on the life of the people's musician Nie Er, and the story section basically follows the trajectory of Nie Er's life, borrowing the emerging stage art expression of acrobatic stage drama to interpret Nie Er's short and brilliant life. The repertoire is designed as a prequel and an ending, the central part is presented as 5 acts, the total length of the whole play is basically positioned at 90 minutes, and the Yunnan Acrobatic Troupe has invested a total of 100 cast members.
"Being character-oriented, whether it's a real character or a people's musician, this is the biggest challenge in the choreography process of this play." But it also stimulates our desire to create. Lu Ling, the general director of the play, said that it is very difficult to integrate elements such as artistic lyricism, character shaping, and dramatic conflict in the creative process, but the more difficult it is, the more challenging it is, and these special elements create the uniqueness of this play.
It is reported that the large-scale acrobatic stage play "Nie Er", as a key repertoire created by Yunnan Cultural Investment Group, has been approved by the Propaganda Department of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China in 2020 and 2021 as a provincial literary and artistic creation project, and has been selected to establish the Propaganda Department of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Federation of Trade Unions to recommend the "Theme Publicity and Education Activities (Drama Exhibition and Performance) celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China".
