Recently, the first mass-produced version of the Mazda CX-50 officially rolled off the production line at the plant in Huntsville, Alabama, USA. The CX-50 is Mazda's "special model" for the North American market, positioning itself as a compact SUV that is slightly larger than the CX-5 of the same class, and the two are sold simultaneously in North America.

Judging from the previous official pictures, the CX-50 seems to focus more on the driving performance of the off-road section than the CX-5. According to the limited information given by Mazda officials, the CX-50 will be equipped with i-Activ all-wheel drive and intelligent driving selection system (Mi-Drive). The CX-50 will offer two power options, the Skyactiv-G 2.5L and Skyactiv-G 2.5T, but the specific parameters have not been announced, and both power models will match the 6-speed automatic transmission. In the future, the CX-50 will also be available in hybrid and pure electric versions.
It is worth mentioning that the Huntsville plant in Alabama, which launched the CX-50, was jointly invested by Toyota and Mazda for $2.3 billion, and the plant is also producing Toyota Corolla Cross (domestic FAW Toyota Corolla Ruifang), and the Huntsville plant has an annual production capacity of 300,000 units, and the production capacity will be distributed in a 50:50 ratio.
