On January 28, Xiaomi released an internal document announcing that Chang Cheng, the former vice president of the group and general manager of Xiaomi's mobile phone product department, left his job. The document called his departure a personal reason and said he thanked Chang cheng for his contributions to the company in the past two years. After Chang Cheng left, Zeng Xuezhong, president of the mobile phone department, concurrently served as the general manager of Xiaomi's mobile phone product department. Chang Cheng joined Xiaomi in January 2020 and previously served as vice president of Lenovo Group and head of mobile phone business. After joining Xiaomi from Lenovo, it also once caused controversy over the non-compete agreement.
