After the release of the news of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee's global collection of mascot designs, the design community attaches great importance to it, and around the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2018, the propaganda team came to Changchun to give a lecture, and Guo Chunfang, then the dean of Jilin Art College, presided over the lecture, and arranged a specific work plan, requiring teachers to organize students to actively participate.
At the beginning of 2019, the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee called Guo Chunfang, and the works they submitted entered the top 10 after expert review, and asked for further revision, that is, "winning the bid".
There was also a small episode in this, Guo Chunfang said that Xue Rongrong's plan idea came from student Jiang Yufan. The instructor was not signed when it was first submitted, and the teachers were very selfless and did not ask for a signature. However, in the process of revision, the design draft has undergone subversive changes, the teachers have paid a lot of effort, after consulting with Jiang Yufan himself, the designer changed to the Jilin Art College Xue Rongrong design team. Guo Chunfang said: "Participating in the collection of mascots for the Beijing Winter Olympics, our design members all hold the psychology that Jilin people can do something to participate and selflessly dedicate. In the end, I signed the team, and I also had an explanation to everyone. ”
