This poem may be Li Yu's masterpiece. The Chronicle of Lefu writes: "After the return of the Lord to the Song Dynasty, he and the Forbidden City people Shuyun: 'In this middle and night, only tears are washed with tears. 'Every time you cherish your homeland, the tone of the word becomes more and more laborious. It gives "Waves and Sands" a cloud: 'In the dream, I don't know that I am a guest, I am greedy and happy', 'The flowing water falls and the flowers go in the spring, and the heavens and the earth'... Emperor Taizong was furious and even more so, so he gave him the medicine. Li Yu was poisoned by the medicine sent by the Song Tai Sect, which seems to be related to the writing of this poem. Other accounts also mention this, or" as follows: "Taste the clouds of long and short sentences: "The rain outside the curtain is babbling... 'With thoughts and sorrows, it is not a few lifetimes. (Cai Qi's "Poetry of the Western Qing Dynasty").
Li Yu's life situation before his next life was indeed as he himself wrote in his letter, "washing his face with tears." The upper part of the word writes a fragment of his life before his next life. One night, he had a beautiful dream about the life of an emperor in the past. Because it was in a dream, coveting the joy of that moment, he forgot his identity as a captive. But the dream did not last long, and I was awakened by the continuous sound of rain outside the window. In order to highlight the difficulties of his waking up, he used the technique of flashbacks, starting with writing after waking up. The first sentence writes the hearing after waking up, using the sound of running water to describe the sound of rain, to emphasize that the sound of rain is very noisy, not only the dream is interrupted, but also the more you listen to it after waking up, the more upset you are. The second sentence that follows, although it does not write about the specific flowers and water, generally explains that the spring meaning has declined. The third sentence writes the feeling of the body surface, the rainy night is difficult to sleep, stay up to five more, the silk quilt covered on the body can not withstand the cold. What is written is the feeling of the body, reflecting the inner feelings, and the expression of his desolate mood. This is followed by a retrospective description of the dream, which contrasts the dream with reality, joy and sorrow, and is even more "poignant".
The next film writes another slice of life. He ascended alone and looked far away, and what he saw and thought aroused remorse, which made him can't help but shout that he should not stand alone anymore. Because whenever you are alone, you can't help but think: That lost infinite beauty of the country, it is so easy to leave you, but it is so difficult to see you again. This time, when I was alone in the fence, I saw it even more: the flowers that had been thanked fell on the flowing water and drifted away with the residual spring. The "spring goes also" here corresponds to the "spring meaning of shan" in the previous film. Spring has gone, and it also hints at the imminent end of his own life. He thought of his past as an imperial life in heaven, that is, the joy he remembered in his dreams, and compared with the situation in front of him, it was almost like the difference between heaven and earth. The sigh of "heaven on earth" at the end of the whole sentence is precisely the pouring out of this voice of remorse. When Li Yu was placed under house arrest in Beijing after the Fall of the Song Dynasty, he wrote more than one poem, although it has commonalities, but it is different, and this song has its own characteristics. The words mobilize a variety of artistic means, using the setting of rain and cold nights, the ratio of dream reality, the symbol of flowing water and falling flowers, and the metaphor of heaven and earth, to help express the situation and mood in soft life.
