The Broncos will hire Packers offensive coordinator Hackett as the new manager
On Thursday, The Mustang officially announced that it would hire Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as the next manager.
Hackett has a lot of experience training as a quarterback, but it will be the first time in his career that he will be a head coach. Hiring Hackett would also lead to speculation that the Broncos hope to lure Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and receiver Davante Adams to Denver.
During the Broncos interview, Hackett was asked how he would go from coaching the offense to the entire team and how he would form a defensive coaching staff. Hackett also needs to answer how he can make sure he can organize the matchday if he continues to lay out his tactics.
The Broncos defense group was in the top ten in most events last season, with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater missing the last three games but also passing 18 touchdowns, a career high. However, the overall performance of the offensive group, coupled with the unstable performance of the special service group, eventually caused former coach Vic Fangio to lose his job.
Colts Defensive Coordinator Aberforas will be the Bears coach
On Thursday, the Bears will hire Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus as the new coach.
Aberforus, 51, was also one of the jaguars' new managers. In his four years as a Colts defensive coordinator, Aberforas led the team to the top ten points scored in the defensive group three times. The Bears' defensive group was ranked sixth overall last season, but the offense has been poor and it has been difficult to find a stable quarterback.
