Happy Year of the Tiger: "Hong Kong Police Brother" inscription for the police red envelope

Hong Kong Police Commissioner Siu Tak-yi writes the word "Fu".

According to the official WeChat public account of the Hong Kong Police Force, the Hong Kong Police Calligraphy and Painting Society was established in 1983 and has been painting inscriptions for various units of the Force for many years to make Prints for the New Year. As the Year of the Tiger approaches, the Association's senior mentor, Mr Kong Man Ying, shared calligraphy skills with Commissioner of Police, Siu Tak Yee, and wrote inscriptions on the Force's red envelopes to celebrate the New Year.

Over the years, a large number of people have studied calligraphy with the Hong Kong Police Calligraphy and Painting Society, including senior officers of the Force. For example, former Deputy Commissioner Ren Darong. Jiang Wenying also shared calligraphy skills with former director Lo Wai-chung. This year, the Public Relations Division of the Hong Kong Police Force came up with new ideas and was assisted by the Calligraphy Society. Siu Wase-yi was the first Commissioner to write an inscription for the Red Envelope of the Force. After listening to Teacher Jiang's opinion, Director Xiao Zeyi decided to send blessings to everyone with "blessings".

Jiang Wenying said: "On the same day, I chose Wang Xizhi's penmanship and taught the director to stroke his pen in line letters. The director did not formally study calligraphy, and after only half an hour of practice, his third work was already very good. I admire the Commissioner's courage to try. ”
