Since its debut in 2019, Tesla's electric pickup, cybercruck, has been loved by many fans around the world for its "cyberpunk feel" as it calls it.
As of August 2021, the relevant information tracking agencies said that the total number of bookings for Cyberruck has exceeded 1.25 million, of which the dual-motor version is still the most popular, accounting for about 48% of the total bookings. You know, Tesla's total global sales in 2020 are only about 500,000 vehicles, and the total scheduled total of Cybertruck is already Tesla's total sales in two years.
Of course, a considerable number of people have paid the deposit out of the idea of "hunting curiosity". Cybertruck's deposit is not large and can be fully refunded at any time, with $100 in the U.S. market and 1,000 yuan in the Chinese market. But this still does not prevent such a large number of orders from bringing Tesla a huge cash flow.
After jumping tickets many times, Tesla finally announced that it will start mass production at the end of 2022, and Cyberruck's fan club also released the live photos of the mass-produced version of Cyberruck for the first time today.
In the picture, the overall shape of cybertruck is not much different from the previous concept promotion. The eye-catching obtuse angles on the roof remain, and the metal primary color body and through-LED headlights bring a sense of Cybertron and Doomsday Chariot concept.
The car's headlamps, such as turn signals and fog lights, are arranged in a more discreet manner at the junction of silver and black at the front of the car; the original position of the door handle is also empty, most likely to use the same touch unlock as the Roadster. This design makes the vehicle look cleaner without any superfluous lines.
Speaking of superfluous, in the previous concept map, for the sake of wind resistance and design integrity, Musk announced that he would eliminate the physical rearview mirror on Cybertoruck and use the camera as a replacement. However, in the eyes of real cars, Cybertruck will eventually compromise with safety regulations.
Curiously, after accepting the addition of rearview mirrors, the Cybertruck real car still gives people a feeling that they are not as tough as before.
On closer inspection, the original mass-produced version of the hub is quite different from the previous one (it has not yet been determined that it is the final version). The vehicle in the concept diagram uses closed wrapped wheels to convey the characteristics of "fully armed"; while the branch-like wheels in the exposure diagram are similar to the iconic designs of well-known wheel brands such as BBS, they do not seem to be able to "bear the weight" of such a futuristic pickup truck.
Tesla Cyberruck is still in the process of road testing. According to the information previously disclosed, Cybertruck will provide 402km, 483km and 804km three endurance versions to choose from, and there will also be a high-end four-motor version. The front and rear wheel steering of the car can not only achieve "tank turning", but also "crab row (oblique or horizontal)".
