On January 27, some investors asked OFILM on the interactive platform: the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology supports small and medium-sized enterprises to actively turn to meta-universe, intelligent sensors, digital economy, etc., and whether the company has the intention to enter the meta-universe industry.

OFILM replied that the company actively expands new businesses while developing its core business, and lays out optical optoelectronic business in new fields such as VR/AR, industrial, medical, and action cameras. In the field of VR/AR, the company mainly produces optical-related VR/AR products, such as VR/AR lenses, VR/AR modules, and currently the company has carried out extensive cooperation with domestic mainstream brand customers in the field of VR/AR. In the next five years (2021-2025), the company will strive to forge ahead in new businesses such as smart cars and VR/AR, significantly increasing the proportion of new business revenue and making it a new growth driver for the company.

It is understood that OFILM has been carrying out relevant layouts since 2015. OFILM has said that Israel has great technical advantages in the fields of 4D radar and lidar, AR/VR, HUD (Heads UpDisplays), and sensors. It is reported that the two sides have carried out extensive cooperation in the fields of intelligent terminals and VR.

In August 2016, OFILM announced its investment in Osterhout Group, Inc. in the United States for a total of $20 million. Subsequently, in less than a year and a half, he threw nearly 500 million yuan and invested in a number of VR/AR manufacturers, such as 3Glasses and Xiaopai Technology.

Not only that, OFILM has also carried out industry-research cooperation with Shenzhen University, cooperated in the development of freeform technology, etc., and established a VR/AR optical R&D center in Shenzhen. In the "Strategic Plan for the Next Five Years (2021-2025)", OFILM also proposed to develop new businesses such as smart cars and VR/AR, making it a new growth driver for the company.
