According to the news on January 27, Meituan Bicycle, Hello Bicycle and Qing orange Bicycle signed the "Joint Restrictive Convention on Regulating User Parking Behavior in the Internet Rental Bicycle Industry in Beijing Region" (hereinafter referred to as the "Convention") on January 26, which restricts all brands for up to 30 days for illegal parking users.

"This is what the Municipal Communications Commission led everyone to do together, and the purpose is to strengthen the management of shared bicycles." Hello travel insiders told the Securities Daily reporter on January 27. On the same day, the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission released a set of data, which showed that in the second half of 2021, the number of shared bicycles in Beijing was 955,900, the average daily riding volume was 3.189 million, an increase of 29.4% year-on-year, and the average daily turnover rate of vehicles was 3.31 times, an increase of 21.06% over the same period in 2020.

At present, there are three companies operating shared bicycles in Beijing, namely Beijing Mobike Technology Co., Ltd. (i.e. Meituan Bicycle), Shanghai Junzheng Network Technology Co., Ltd. (i.e. Hello Bicycle), and Guangzhou Qi'an Technology Co., Ltd. (i.e. Qing orange Bicycle).

In order to solve the persistent problem of random parking of shared bicycles, these platforms have been cooperating with the government and constantly introducing technical functions such as "settlement in the column". With the clarification and deepening of regulatory requirements, higher requirements have also been put forward for the technical level of the platform.

Refined operations have become the key

"In the past, shared bicycle companies did not hesitate to over-invest at cost, crowded out public space, and hindered traffic, maintenance and management could not keep up, after the smoke of gunfire, the current shared bicycles on the street are mainly left with Meituan bicycles, Haro bicycles and green orange bicycles, and the entire market has entered a three-legged situation from a horse racing staking." Ai Media Consulting analysts told the "Securities Daily" reporter, "With the carbon neutrality, healthy travel and other initiatives and users gradually adapt to the market, the scale of shared bicycle users there is still room for a significant jump." ”

In the past, bicycles have facilitated public travel, but bicycles are more numerous than people, and chaotic placement has also become the focus of controversy among all parties. In the "second half" competition of this vast market, how to do a good job in refined operation has become the key, and the most direct manifestation of this is the continuous upgrading of technology.

Recently, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision announced the "Technical and Service Specifications for Internet Rental Bicycle Systems", and the new specifications will be implemented from April this year. The new specification requires that the operation platform of shared bicycle enterprises should have the function of identifying the registered ID number and name of the lessee, verifying whether the ID card number and name of the lessee are consistent with the information of the "National Citizenship Information System", and judging whether the lessee meets the conditions for renting a car. In addition to the functions of inquiry, rental, settlement, online payment and other functions of the surrounding rentable vehicles, the tenant client should also clearly stipulate the riding age, riding rules, and prompt the lessee to abide by traffic rules.

This specification puts forward requirements for the technical strength of platform enterprises. In mid-January, Meituan took the lead in announcing the patent for fingerprint unlocking of shared bicycles. "The head platform has carried out a lot of exploration on the technical side, hoping to have a better user experience. As a necessary stage of using shared bicycles, compared with the previous scan code unlocking that relies on Bluetooth connection, the speed of fingerprint recognition is undoubtedly faster, and there is no need to use other devices such as smart phones, and there is obviously a better performance in the use experience. The above analyst said.

Parking is difficult to cure

On January 26, the Convention signed by the three platforms will be implemented on a trial basis from 31 January 2022 and will be formally implemented on 1 March.

According to the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, the release of the Convention is to gradually guide and standardize the parking behavior of car users, and develop civilized travel habits of civilized cycling and orderly parking. The Convention clearly states that in a natural month, if the user parks the shared bicycle on the highway in the city, the main road of the urban expressway (including the entrance and exit of the main auxiliary road and the isolation belt, and the bridge area) once or more, the no-stop area three times or more, the area outside the electronic fence of the entry management area six times or more, or the enterprise is taken risk control measures for maliciously destroying the shared bicycle, privately occupying the shared bicycle, or using the shared bicycle to carry out illegal and criminal acts, Then the user will be included in the joint restriction measures of the bicycle sharing enterprise.

"Securities Daily" reporter on January 27, when visiting a number of subway stations along Line 1 of the Beijing Metro, found that the ground of the shared bicycle parking point is clearly marked, but there is a phenomenon of non-motorized vehicles or other private bicycles in the parking point, if not cleaned up, the shared bicycle will not be able to park in the parking point.

The reporter randomly interviewed a user on the street, the user said: "I know to park the shared bicycle in the prescribed line, otherwise it will be deducted by the platform, but sometimes I find that the line is full, and some of them are private electric vehicles and bicycles, so I have to come down and move and then park in, or ride to other shared bicycle parking spots." ”

In this regard, a practitioner helplessly said to reporters: "At present, there are still pain points that are difficult to park shared bicycles in various places, and some users may have to spend a long time to find parking spots after riding shared bicycles, which makes the convenience of sharing bicycles seriously discounted." But if you let the enterprise to maintain, the cost is bound to rise, but at present, there is no way to cure it. ”
