The cow resigns to win the year, and the tiger leaps to a new journey. Probably because of the rendering of the atmosphere of the Year of the Tiger, Hu Guowei's recent willingness to paint tigers is very strong, not only buying a large number of famous albums to read and study, but also using the weekend to observe the dynamics of tigers in the zoo and understand their living habits. "Tigers are also one of the most popular objects to paint and depict when I was a child, the tiger up the mountain, the tiger down the mountain, the tiger in the jungle, the tiger overlooking the mountains... In the ink and pen, the image of the king of the forest became clearer and clearer in his heart. Hu Guowei introduced.

After studying painting for forty years, Hu Guowei now paints with the meaning of the seal, uses the line heavy and slow, dry and wet at the same time, and pursues the fun of gold and stone, in order to achieve a sense of simplicity and tradition. At the same time, with cinnabar rendering, it strives to produce an impact on the perspective, depicts the spirit of the mountain jun, and truly achieves "shi guren" and "shihuahua".

"I was born in Kaifengqi County, studied painting with mr. Yang Xixian in the 1980s, and graduated from the People's Liberation Army Academy of Arts in 1995, majoring in Chinese painting." Hu Guowei introduced his painting career and said that even during his later tenure at the General Staff Department's Anti-Chemical College, he did not give up painting.

Tigers in traditional Chinese culture symbolize majesty and bravery, dynasties and dynasties, xiaochu in the military, often named "tiger ben", the token of dispatching troops is also called "tiger symbol", which is a positive image in the minds of the people. "In my hometown of Yudong Plain, every Spring Festival, most families will buy a tiger's New Year painting and paste it in the hall. Mothers also like to sew tiger head hats and tiger head shoes with various colors of fabric for dolls to wear, hoping that babies will thrive and grow up like little tigers. Hu Guowei recalled that the first gift he received when he was a child was also a tiger head hat, a pair of tiger head shoes and a cloth tiger given by his mother.
