In the research and development process of the first domestic snow wax car, shandong industrial design and research institute, as the design team leader unit, is mainly responsible for the overall layout, design and integration of the carriage space, as well as the development of key components such as snow wax table and snowboard storage cabinet, which is a veritable "wisdom responsibility".

"The snow wax cart, as the name suggests, is a piece of equipment for waxers to wax their snowboards before a race. The waxed snowboard is like a 'maintained car', which not only helps athletes save energy, but is also easier to handle. Ren Suo, design director of Shandong Industrial Design and Research Institute, introduced to reporters that the current number of international snow wax vehicles is very small, in November 2020, in order to fill the gap in the equipment of the mainland snow wax car, under the entrustment of the State General Administration of Sports, Shandong Province set up a comprehensive R & D team of multiple enterprises and began the research and development of the first domestic snow wax car.

There is no reference, can not go abroad to study, time is tight and the task is heavy, and the design work is like a difficult puzzle. "Everyone is the first time to explore the construction of snow wax car, what kind of snow wax car is, at first no one had a specific concept, the first difficulty is the spatial layout of the car body." The project team repeatedly discussed the improvement, and it took more than 3 months to review the program and the demonstration and adjustment of the technical design. According to Ren Lock, the snow wax car looks like an ordinary truck, but it is a "smart system" composed of the main car and the spare tractor front and the auxiliary car. The 35-square-meter box, after reaching its destination, can stretch into a 92.5-square-meter space, like a mobile snow logistics base. Among them, six 2.9-meter-long snow wax tables are the most important core components.

According to Ren Suo's recollection, during the design process, the research institute team invited the national team waxers to Yantai many times, fully referred to their actual needs and suggestions, repeatedly modified the details of the snow wax table, and played 6 samples before and after before determining the final version.

"This is currently the largest snow wax table in the world with the largest control space size, the most complete function, and has been highly affirmed by the waxing division of the national team." Ren Suo proudly said that the snow wax table contains many technological innovation points, such as the use of magnetic mobile lighting for the light, which can facilitate the waxing artist to check the waxing effect under different angles of light, and at the same time combine the hydrodynamic design to control the noise of the air duct system within 60 decibels.

"Because there will be a certain amount of smoke and dust when waxing, the snow wax table is also equipped with a lower exhaust air purification and disinfection system, which can purify the air in real time." Compared with the foreign upper exhaust scheme, the lower exhaust system optimizes the structure of the fan, shortens the air duct distance, can make it more suction, higher exhaust efficiency, and quickly suck away harmful substances produced in the waxing process. Ren Lock introduced.

"The outer coat coating scheme of the body has been changed more than 40 drafts before and after, and the core component snow wax table has undergone many sampling trials and upgrades." Ren Suo told reporters that the team designers of the research institute and the waxing division of the national team and other fraternal units have met many times and rushed back and forth in Yantai, Jinan and Beijing, and have run more than 30 times in a few months. In the end, with the joint efforts of everyone, the project team successfully broke the technical blockade of foreign countries and completed the design, development and manufacture of the first domestic snow wax car in only 11 months.

Nowadays, the snow wax car has arrived in Beijing to make the final preparation guarantee for the national cross-country ski team to impact the Winter Olympics, and the project support team of the Shandong Industrial Design and Research Institute has also arrived in the Chongli Competition Area of Zhangjiakou, which will ensure the normal operation of the snow wax car at all times during the Winter Olympics and ensure the smooth progress of the competition.
