The fifth time in the "Tree Man" series, "Like a Monk Walking on the Feet - Ren Guangzhao Calligraphy Works Exhibition" opened on January 23 at the Chen Shuren Memorial Hall, the exhibition exhibited more than 40 calligraphy works by young calligrapher Ren Guangzhao. The funds raised from this exhibition will be donated to the Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation "Shuren Art Fund" to support the creation and display of works by outstanding young artists in our province and the construction and development of art education in remote areas. The exhibition will be on view until February 7, 2022.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Ren Guangzhao donated his personal works to the Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and the Secretary General of the Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Cai Yanzhao, returned the collection certificate. Subsequently, Ms. Chen Meixia, director of the Chen Shuren Memorial Hall, presented a collection certificate to the caring people who collected the works.
Ren Guangzhao was born in 1990 and graduated from Jinan University majoring in Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Appreciation, where he studied under the famous calligrapher Cao Baolin. In the long journey of exploring the art of calligraphy, he has always been full of original intention and love for calligraphy, just like the practice of monks trekking thousands of miles. He said: Walking feet is the practice of monks, asking them to go out and step on thousands of rivers and mountains for a noble faith. Xuanzang's Western Heavenly Scriptures are actually an expansion of their actions, and the spirit of indomitable progress inspires people who persist in the pursuit of truth. Therefore, the title of the exhibition is "Like a Monk Walking on His Feet", which is exactly what it means.
According to Ms. Chen Meixia, director of the Chen Shuren Memorial Hall, the "Tree Man" series of exhibitions is a platform for contemporary outstanding young artists curated by the Chen Shuren Memorial Hall to display their creative achievements. Since the first launch of the "Tree Man" series in 2018, it has received great attention and evaluation from all walks of life, especially the third time of the "Tree Man" series , "Beautiful Nature, Fun in Flowers" has been awarded the 2019 National Art Museum Outstanding Public Education Nomination Project by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China.
She said that the fifth time in the "Tree Man" series is the exhibition of Ren Guangzhao's calligraphy works, which shows Mr. Ren Guangzhao's deep understanding of calligraphy art and his profound understanding of traditional art.
