E-Car News Volkswagen Group recently said that its average carbon dioxide emissions for passenger cars in 2021 will be 118.5 grams /km, exceeding the 2021 EU carbon emission target.
According to the information, the EU's carbon emission measurement standards have been adjusted from the NEDC in 2020 to the WLTP in 2021, but the average CO2 emissions of Volkswagen Group's passenger cars are still below the target of 120.8 g/km. However, the Volkswagen Group's data does not include Bentley and Lamborghini brands.
For reference, the Volkswagen Group delivered 472,300 electric vehicles in the European Union in 2021, including Norway and Iceland, an increase of 64% over the same period, and the delivery ratio of pure electric models and plug-in hybrid models has risen to 17.2%, and the market share of the European Union is about 25%.
The Volkswagen Group aims to become the world's leading supplier of electric vehicles by 2025, investing 52 billion euros in electric vehicles and around 8 billion euros in hybrid models from 2022 to 2026.
