The reporter learned from the press conference of the second important archaeological discovery in Shaanxi held on the 24th that Shaanxi discovered a large settlement site in the Hakka Zhuang cultural period about 4,000 years ago - the Taiping Site.

Located in Doumen Street, Fengdong New Town, Xixian New District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, the Taiping Ruins are a newly discovered large settlement site in the Guanzhong Basin from the Hakka Zhuang cultural period, dating from 4150-3700 years ago. At present, archaeologists have completed archaeological exploration area of more than 400,000 square meters, excavation area of 3,900 square meters, cleaned up 173 ash pits, 2 ash ditches, 5 housing sites, 7 tombs during the second phase of the Cultural Period of Keshengzhuang, unearthed a large number of pottery, stone tools, bone horns and animal bones, and also found some jade and jade.

According to Wang Xiaoqing, a researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the person in charge of this archaeological project, the existence of jade processing and production, bone bones, pottery decorations and pottery bells shows that the Taiping site has the necessary elements of a high-grade central settlement site, is an important site to understand the origin and early development center of Chinese civilization, and also laid the prehistoric foundation for the capital city culture represented by Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang in the middle of the Guanzhong Basin.
