Due to the spread of the Olmiqueron strain, the World Swimming Championships were postponed again

The city of Fukuoka in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, announced that it had received a notice from FINA on January 24 that the World Swimming Championships, which were scheduled to be held in Fukuoka city in May this year, would be postponed. The reason is that due to the spread of the Olmikeron strain, countries are unable to hold qualifiers. The schedule is being adjusted toward next July.

It is reported that this event has been postponed for the second time.
