The 2021 China (Nanjing) Cultural and Technological Integration Achievements Exhibition fair was held from October 21 to 23 at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center in Jiangsu Province. At the invitation of the organizing committee, Dunhuang Research Institute walked into the Nanjing Rong Fair for the fourth time with the latest achievements in the integration of science and technology and culture.

The exhibition mainly displays the phased achievements of "Digital Dunhuang", especially the support and service of digital resource achievements for the "protection, research and promotion" work of Dunhuang Research Institute, and realizes the permanent preservation and sustainable use of cultural relics information under the deep integration of culture and science and technology. At the same time, the use of digital resources and digital technology means to deeply explain the cultural connotation of Dunhuang, to build the Dunhuang Research Institute into a model of world cultural heritage protection and a highland of Dunhuang studies to provide a strong guarantee and support for cultural relics digital information resources.

Through multimedia performances, animation programs, high-fidelity reproduction murals and simulated reproduction of musical instruments, the exhibition integrates academic, technical, artistic and other factors. The multimedia short film "Construction and Development of Digital Dunhuang" mainly introduces the origin, development process, team building and mechanism innovation of "Digital Dunhuang", the necessity and urgency of the digitization of cultural relics, especially the fruitful results formed by the Dunhuang Research Institute after years of efforts, including the construction of the system chain of "production, learning, research and use" of cultural relics digitization, massive data resources, industry-leading academic concepts, major academic research and technical service systems exported around the standardization of the industry.
The animated short film "Five Hundred Robbers of Cave 285 of Mogao Caves Become Buddhas" vividly and vividly tells the story of the mural paintings of the Dunhuang Grottoes with Buddhist art as the carrier. According to the contents of the Dunhuang Grottoes murals, the imitation musical instruments Karma Drum and Lace Ruan, engraved with the glory of history, come out of the murals and reflect the high-fidelity murals, allowing the "Xianle" to travel through time and resurrect a "sound and color" Dunhuang. The audience takes photos in the interactive area, and the creatively designed three-dimensional image of the provider enters the painting with the audience in the background of the flowing and flexible Dunhuang flying sky, and freezes the moment through the lens, allowing the audience to experience the beauty of Dunhuang for thousands of years and evoke people's infinite attachment to Dunhuang art.
